Lock on, drive around in circles and fire rockets, he can barely even touch you... Mothrakk is definitely a douche, on my first playthrough I dropped him in 15 seconds with my SMG of rape, but playing co-op we had to take it way slower and use the vehicle station as cover.
A) I fail at driving, B)still not sure how to lock on, lost the manual, and only did it once, by accident, lol
I actually found out about that nifty trick on my Hunter as well.
Spoiler: show
Only a few hours into the game... why can I never use the fast travel option at the New U-Station? It's also grayed out...
That becomes unlocked later on as you progress further into the game. : p
Watching my friend play a pirated version on his PC, its pretty rad..
because crappy gamespy is so awesome... even pirated copies have FULL access to online coop play lol
Finally got a Scavenger mod with +2 team find rare items today. After messing around with it, I would say don't worry about using it while you're fighting, normal mobs will drop alot more weapons and mods, but they're almost always just blue or green. You will however want to equip it before opening any weapons chests, when checking vending machines, or when turning in missions that show an item will be rewarded. Using it just a couple hours today and I have gotten 10 orange weapons and several Eridian weapons that way. Granted, I'm only using one of them so far, but at this rate something better should appear soon.
It's also great for farming tons of items to sell for cash though. Just because your money shows it's capped at $9,999,999 don't worry, it keeps track above that. Last time I died the fee for revival was 1.8 mil, and I still show capped money.
Also, anyone else have any luck re-doing clap trap missions? Most of them are giving mods for reward on second play through, but I did get one backpack upgrade, so I'm at 45 now.
Here's what I do on 360 version, save before you finish the clap trap mission, if he gives you an item other than the backpack hit the xbox button and exit to the dashboard, DO NOT EXIT AND SAVE. Reload and talk to him again until he gives you backpack upgrade, just repeat the process until he gives it up but just remember not to exit and save or go to any check points. I got about 60+ inventory space doing this.
Random complaint:
level 20 in the headlands, doing a quest and walk up to a health vendor and see a sick hunter mod with +extra scavenge items, +out for blood, etc... so I'm like, oh shit, alt tab for 30seconds to wiki class mods and see if its decent, determine it is, tab back in.... and its gone. fail.
I didn't spec into out for blood anyway and probably wont till very late so not a big loss.
edit: few minutes later went to another and found a mod i liked even better anyway... if Im not specced into something, and a class mod gives me +2 to that, does that mean I'll have equivilent of 2 in that spec without even learning it? I know that if you are 5/5 and get a mod that is +2 you become 7/7 which is why I ask.
You need at least one point in something to get any bonuses from class mods.
Thanks, that helps big time and will save me some money.
Does Team Scavenger Bonus+ help me at all solo with loot?
I've not seen or tried it, but other Team bonuses work solo, so I would assume so.
I'm going on record. I think the boss fights were entirely too easy. I have more problems getting up to the bosses, dealing with the swarms of regular, rather than killing them. The only boss fight I had any issues with was the monster skag in that arena. And I was fighting him at level 18. So my gear wasn't exactly great. I ended up kiting him around and slowly wittling him down. The giant Hive Rakk I just hid behind the boulders near the slope leading down and fired from there. Even the last guy was ridiculously simple. All I did was run up to his right side tentacle that sweeps on the ground and pummelled it. Every now and then you would get hit with the knockback move but that was it. A little bit disappointing and not the least bit challenging.
Yeah, the bosses were pretty lame. Most were just a case of slowly wearing them down until they die. Except the last couple of bosses because the weapons you get a so fucking strong that you can just rape them silly. Rakk Hive you just need to shoot in the eyes with a good sniper for crits (yay wide area of death) and the Vault Beast you just rape with a good shotgun/smg/rifle. The last boss looks pretty impressive, just wish there was more to it. Hopefully they'll release some DLC or something with better bosses...like the claptrap ninja assassin.
Now that would be a fun boss fight. My issue with the boss fights is that on almost every single one of them there was a spot where you could safely stand and attack where they couldn't even touch you. I can think of four right off the bat where I was able to do that. It's the one downside to an otherwise fantastically fun game.
I've got a friend who wanted to co-op second playthrough and didn;t want me using my 50 hunter. I splitscreened with my lil brother at P2 Descent/Promontory, and got Brick up to 42, then speedran through the P1 story missions in less than three hours to get to P2. lol
I can't find the last part for the damn Machine Gun quest. I only seem to loathe these types of quests because they generally stash the last object in some really asshole-ish way where you spend 1minute gathering the first three and half an hour getting the last after checking every nook and cranny only to realize it was lodged between that rock and a bigger rock placed on top of that rock. - -
