max sniper effectivness, while boosting my small guns and melee dmg(+400%!), while retaining at least the most benifical pet abilities.

Borderlands: Skill Tree
Quick Look: Borderlands - giantbomb.com
30 minute video. Shows off some co-op and then some footage of his New Game+ at level 38. Very worth the watch.
This really is going to be the gunnest game ever.
Shiro... this is gonna be so tight.
UGHHHHH I RLY WANT THIS FOR XBAX AND NOT PC
Game looks awesome when you play with 3 other people. Does anyone know the rules of the online co-op play? Can EU play with US or PC with 360, etc?
Anybody know if there's respeccing for your talent trees? I'm not sure how it'll work if you can't, seems like without in game experience you won't be able to properly evaluate the different talents.
Some info for the people who didn't watch it:
- EXP is shared (lowered) in co-op, enemies don't seem to be strengthened but they come in much larger swarms with more players.
- No friendly fire, skill for one character that makes shooting teammates actually heal them, explosions included.
- You can "duel" eachother, if you both melee eachother it starts a 1 vs 1 fight, no way to fight 2 v 2 or anything.
- Money and ammo is shared when picked up (pools are obviously not shared).
- Uses a sort of checkpoint system, there's machines scattered around that can save and edit your character, if you die you respawn at the last one you saved it. In multiplayer, non-hosts EXP is saved at these, in the video they dropped at one point and lost around half a level because they hadn't got to a save point.
- Dying loses a % of your cash, no other penalties.
- Can pay for a respec, didn't mention a price or how to do so though.
- Bosses/named enemies drop specific, non-randomized weapons. On New Game+ they apparently drop different stronger guns.
- Some crazy effects on guns, he had a pistol with "Sometimes I forget to reload..." which had infinite ammo and never had to reload.
4 players looks rather easy unfortunately, but I wasn't expecting otherwise.
PC or 360 or ps3? I can't decide... I want to play the pc version first but I know most people I could play with, know what to do, will be on the 360.
People should watch the video just to watch them fight over that shot gun, lol.
My XBL is silver atm, which is the only reason I'm getting this for PS3.
Also some of those bulletpoints seems saucy. A 4 player co-op could be pretty intense since the swarms apparently adjust to the player numbers at the time.
First Borderlands DLC Involves, Yep, Zombies - borderlands - Kotaku
2K Games today announced the first DLC package for Borderlands, Gearbox's open-world "role-playing shooter" due to hit the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on Tuesday. "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned" is the DLC's title.
A 2K release describes the pack's story thusly:
Tasked with keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, Dr. Ned (who is not related to Dr. Zed from Fyrestone) does his job a little too well, creating zombies and other abominations that now run rampant in this region. Players will have to work alongside Dr. Ned as they embark on a quest to cure the inhabitants of Jakobs Cove in this full-fledged expansion filled with new enemies, new quests and rare loot drops.
The same release said only that "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned" is "planned for release later this year." Price will be $9.99 on PSN and for PC, 800 Microsoft points for the Xbox.
"The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is in development at Gearbox Software and is the first in a series of downloadable expansions that will enhance the Borderlands mayhem in fun and exciting ways," says 2K.
