+48% smg damage and +30% elemental effect, and i got a +4 fire smg

I have something similar. 48% smg damage, but no elemental effect, just some other stuff (like girl power, the bullet speed thing, and something else). And I have that paired with a bit of a headscratcher.

I have a smg with 80-some damage that's x's 2. Now just looking at the card for the gun, its nothing really special. But using the gun shows that it has an extreme ammo regen. from my time playing roland and with other guns with this trait, it looks to be like 15+. I've tried and tried to see if theres a skill or something that gives ammo regen, or even my class mod that I use, but to no avail.

I'm thinking maybe its a mod that's cut off the bottom of the gun card? I've heard of that being an issue. So for now, I use it exclusively with my Lilith untill I find something better.

My apologies for not remembering the name of the gun off the top of my head.

PC got a patch last night.

Update 1.0.1 Notes:

- Characters that have lost skill points will have the lost points refunded
- Clients will no longer lose proficiency progress upon leaving a co-op game
- Item cards now display the intended five lines of detail text
- Lilith's Phase strike and melee attacks from Phase Walk now function as intended
- Voicechat: users can now control volume and individually mute players
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused CL4P-TP to stop progressing during the introduction
- Server browser population times have been improved
- Server information should now always display the correct plot mission
- Benchmarking feature now works as intended
- Nvidia 3D Vision visuals now render shadows correctly (requires minimum 195.28 drivers, available from nVidia)

I have to admit, this catches my attention. As far as I knew the only SMG with a x2 damage on it would be the Hyperion KKASSO.W, which as far as I know shouldn't be able to carry a x4 Fire element.

Unless you got some crazy ass lucky RNG with a Maliwan Hellfire or Tek2 Combustion Hellfire with the x2 damage and ammo regen, in which case you might have arguably one of the best SMGs in the entire game.

edit: Also, I'm an idiot, since you didn't mention anything about elemental effect and I was apparently meshing posts together in my head. It's probably a Hyperion KKASSO.W with ammo regen. Does it have the flavor text "Hallelujah" on any chance?

On that note, it's possible it's a Tediore Savior too, but I've never seen an SMG with x2 that isn't a KKASSO.W.

My 110 damage fire X4 SMG is sick too. Sadly it's not a Hellfire.

As for the update, I think that was one of the things Gearbox mentioned about PC pirating, wasn't it? That they expected people would obtain the base game through piracy, but that they'd make sure that updates would be made unavailable for it if it was obtained in a shady manner?

You can go into the game's files and change font sizing to make the 5th line of text on items visible for the PC. I think it was Kiara that posted the method to do it earlier in the thread. Aside from that, I guess people will just have to live with the bugs for the time being or try to hex edit their way around them.

I just tried brick, and i gotta wonder how anyone can play him. The red frames, blurry vision and grunts and yells during his berserk skill are just so annoying ;p

It gets worse when you're playing 4 player with a Brick that's specced into berserk tanking and it's constantly "SLKHFLKSJKLAHDLKA RABBLE RABBLE" every couple seconds.

I love using Brick, it's hilarious lol. I'm one of those people who have his berserk cooldown lowered lol. You also left out the best part, when he yells BLOOD BLOOOOOD BLOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD when you headshot someone.

Brick is fun as hell to play, but he also makes me want to mute the TV pretty regularly.

Been a bit busy lately, so a bit late responding to this.

But here's the exacts on the gun card:

Torgue HX 440 Steel Stinger
Damage: 81 x'2 (+36%)
Accuracy: 76.7
Fire Rate: 13.8 (+40%)

Also with +28% Recoil Reduction

Class Mod is:

Atlas 650 Mercenary Class Mod
+48% SMG Damage
+2 Quicksilver
+2 High Velocity
+3 Girl Power

After trying over and over again the past day or so to see what was triggering the ammo regen, its apparently the class mod. Even though I tried pairing it with other mods yesterday, it wasn't kicking off the regen. But for some reason when I replaced it with my new mod I just bought (Dahl Merc 660: 52 SMG damage, 3 Quicksilver, 4 H Velocity, 3 Girl Power), the ammo regen stops.

Meh, I blame it on the line of text not showing up. Makes me wish I had it for PC so I could fix it :/

Edit: Forgot to add, no red legendary text/elemental mod on gun. Gun itself is of purple rarity
Edit 2: Lol, just got a Dahl TD500 Double Thumper (108 x's2) but the fire rate is garbage, and my first Dahl TD5 Double Anarchy (57 x'4) but I'm really not a fan of the 34 acc on it. Let it ran multishot smgs!

48% smg dmg
3 quicksilver
4 high velocity
3 girl power
19% ammo regeneration
It's pretty crazy awesome. I regen ammo almost faster than i can shoot it.

So I was looking through some of my old magazines to throw away and I came across the september 2007 GameInformer issue that showed off the early concept on borderlands.

Roland was white, Lilith looked weird as fuck, mordecai looked the same, but I didn't see any Brick in it. Bandits looked a lot different too it's pretty amazing how things changed in 2 years.

I actually have a stinger like that that's fucking RIDICULOUS. It's like... 135x2 Damage, around 90+% Accuracy, +60% recoil reduction, and a 16.5 rate of fire. It's a fucking Sniper Rifle, lol
