I've heard mention in this thread of a secret ledge or something that has crazy loots in the first playthrough, not wanting to wade through the thread for it was wondering if someone could point me towards it?

Finally got the guys together to finish the game last night and it was...really anticlimactic. Shitty ending to such an awesome game IMO.
Also, how do we get the backstories of our characters? Do you not get it if you play multiplayer, or did I just miss it along the way?
your a vault hunter, thats all you get
For anyone looking for more chest farming areas, I've gotten some really good results in The Backdoor. There's 4 chests overall, and the 1 hidden one seems to have substantially better loot. I've lost motivation to farm, but that one chest gave 2 oranges (volcano sniper and support ogre) and 4 purples (2 were worth over 750k) after farming it only 4 times. It's located above the boss fight on top of the protruding metal structure, you have to do some jumping on the rocks on the right side of the arena to reach it.
Even more DLC announced

Sounds fun.
havent touched the game since i beat the first dlc
hopfully it adds some kind of re-playability other than chest farming D:
Looks like the next DLC will be Dec 29 for Xbox360, Jan 7 for PS3.

Hell yea, storage! This sounds interesting. Hopefully you can get some huge waves of enemies and shit. PC players are understandably pissed at this point, since they haven't even gotten the first DLC yet.Gearbox Software`s first DLC for Borderlands, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, has just been released and Randy Pitchford has already announced a new part
The new adventure on Pandora will be called Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot and will have three new Riot Arenas. Next to that several storage spaces will be available where you can safely store all your favorite weapons (probably over 100.000) without having to sell them.
Little is known about the story at this moment but Gearbox did say that the DLC will be available on Xbox Live as of December 29th for 800 Microsoft points while PS3 lovers will have to wait until January 7th to get it from PSN for $9,99. Whether the DLC will also become available for the PC version is yet unknown.
wait wait wait, there are three coliseums? i only know about the one in the first zone and the one in uhhhhhhhhhhh idk some zone connected to new haven, something west it was called. where is the third?
Sounds like the one you're missing is the one in the salt flats.
Storage sounds awsome, I have a OMG Cannon sitting in my inventory because I refuse to sell the thing.
Oh good, storage, a feature that should be a part of the core game, can be acquired for only $9.99. Or perhaps never, if you play on PC.
I actually know very little about this game...other than hearing people loving it and I bought it the other day...am I going to be disappointed?
I've found it's fun solo and online. Some random groups aren't that fun, but i've had quite a few awesome pickup groups. I also play quite a bit with friends, and it's been a great time. My wife and I also play split screen and really like it. I haven't been disappointed, but opinions vary.
do you prefer the online aspect or the solo?
Tough call. I enjoy it with friends online quite a bit, and even the split screen with the wife. Solo is good for those days where you just want to run around a shoot shit after a long day. You'll honestly find better loot playing online though. As the game puts it, More players = tougher enemies. Tougher enemies = better loot. I guess i'd say i'm 50/50 on online/solo.
Playthrough 2 is a bit more fun also, as the enemies do get harder.
my friend just said the game for him practically died after all his friends stopped playing...should this be a huge concern for me?
I liked the game a lot playing with friends. After MW2 came out, the attention towards it did die a little, but by then I'd already beaten the game and gotten some fairly good things. I haven't tried the first DLC, but I hear it's short and brief albeit a nice change of pace.
Imo, it's worth its money, but it's definitely more enjoyable with friends. So if anything, I'd get at least a dedicated person to play with. Online is enjoyable with people you know. It's kind of boring if you play online with people without mics since it's restricted to 4 people, and at that point, you might as well play solo.
i did two playthroughs solo, i had quite a good time by myself
