Hah, they did not lose their usual tongue-in-cheek humor. This shit's pretty fun so far with a bunch of friends when they put retarded movement speed on horde wave with pistol damage bonus.

Wish it was less predictable, otherwise another great add-on.

Anyone want to play this on PC? Just picked it up from the Steam sale a couple days ago.

So whats the general concensus on the new expansion? Is it as hard as they made it out to be? I was looking forward to playing it when it came out on the ps3, but the lack of people talking about it is a bit frightening.

Time consuming more than hard. the small tourney consists of 5 rounds of 5 waves, so 25 waves total. this can take upwards of 45 minutes. three arenas. so upwards of 2.5 hours probably. then the big tourneys. 20 rounds I asusme still 5 waves haven't tried yet. 100 waves per arena. 300 waves total. 10ish hours minimum I would say. If you fail you go back at least one round, and you can't quit between rounds. (can pause though). Do not play solo, need at least one person for mutual rezzing. Some of the rules are a bitch, had a badass wave with quick regen enemy shields, and they did extra damage.

idk, I have the worst luck with going down and suddenly all the enemies get the fuck out of dodge as I slowly bleed out

that being said the only time my brother and I lost was when I purposefully died on a +Sniper wave so I could be safe in penalty box. He went down and I obviously couldn't get to him.

Have to do them solo for the achievement, don't you

Died at round 17 wave 4. Taking a break, though; shit is tedious and not fun anymore.

Is this game worth picking up? Atm I'm doing nothing but playing COD:MW2. Can't even pick Dragon Age: Origins back up (its good but loving MW2.) I read some on the site says its a FPS and RPG rolled up into 1 game is that really what it is or is more sided to either FPS or RPG (looks more FPS to me from screen shots)

I enjoy many RPG's but I can get burnt out on FPS sometimes (xpt the COD series) but I do occasionally get bored on the game play portion of some FPS games.

Honestly not worth it on PC, since 90% of dumbfucks doing online games don't have their ports open and nobody can join, and when I do decide to make an online public game, I have to wait 2-3 hours so one retard finally joins and quits 5 minutes later because we're only 2. I guess with XBL it must be easier to get PUGs, but if you do pick it up on PC, be sure to have 4 dedicated friends to play with.

If you can find a few people to play with you, it's definitely worth picking up. The game is a shooter, but it plays like an RPG in that you level up and specialize your character, and acquire missions and quests for xp, money, and weapons instead of being pushed along from point A to point B.

I can't sit very long in the game playing solo though, it's much more enjoyable with a good group of friends.

You have to quit entirely out of your lobby and create a new one before anyone is able to join your game.

Alternatively, find friends and play with them, the game's a lot better that way anyway.

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot is available on Steam now (and non-Steam PC versions, I'd assume).

Edit: oddly, the Steam page makes it look like this DLC has SecuROM, but Borderlands itself doesn't? Not sure if that's an error or if that is even possible.

Edit2: Yes, apparently it's possible, since they did it for Zombie Island (which I didn't even consider buying). Won't be buying this one either then. I would have if it didn't have SecuROM, but that's not touching my PC.
