o nvm... ironclad gives you a lot longer to get a 2nd wind, and Omega halves your damage to normal bullets
want!
also I got that exact same panacea shield lol

Omega was the one I was telling you about earlier. I think it has bullet resistance. I forget what Ironclad does
The only one I've figured out so far is the Rose, which is explained in my post a few posts above. I haven't done enough experimenting with the other ones to see anything, really.
I also got a new shield last night, think its like 1650, 350, quick health regen. I actually started using it over my other paneca with quick health regen due to it's very fast recharge rate.
First of all, I just gotta say I love this game. Brick is a killer with a nice Pearl Ogre. I can solo Crawmerax really easy with him, but due to the lack of TH (lol Catalyst or Scavenger Class mods) I've yet to get any good drops off him. I've even tried killing him with Knoxx's Gold after reading a rumor about it adding the "find rare items" thingy. Should I just lvl Lilith or Mordecai to 61 to improve my drops or is he just over-all shitty on pearlescent drops to begin with?
I've killed him 59 times with a catalyst mod and gotten nothing. The +find rare items seems to help you get yellow/oranges (like one time I got 4 hellfires from 1 kill, lol), but I have yet to see a single pearlescent.
after about 18 trips to the armory (around 1800 chests) I'm pretty sure that's not true either lol
They probably drop off midgets in playthrough 1. That's where they must be hiding
i vaguely heard something about an armory glitch. does it still work, and if it does would anyone mind explaining it to me?
ahh, thanks.
so after i beat knoxx can i just come back and do it as much as i want?
anything for you babe
I take it that since I did both armory runs already, I'm screwed and can't use that glitch anymore correct?
Anyone available tonight to beat Playthrough 2 General Knoxx on 360 (I'm stuck and unable to beat the DLC) let me know. T_T
Need someone who hasn't beaten Knoxx and raided the vault the first time.

anyone have any tips on soloing crawmerax with a soldier? level, skill builds, equip etc?
61 for sure. I've soloed him a couple times as Roland, but since I have Lilith up to 61, I just use her to farm him predominantly. As for equipment, I'm sure there's better, but this is what I use for Crawmerax:
Weapons:
A solid assault rifle/machine gun that's accurate and strong, with a decent fire rate
Corrosive gun for Armored Crabs (Purple)
Fire gun for Green Crabs
High Damage Sniper, scope and fire rate doesn't matter too much. Extra Crit Dmg preferred
Orion Sniper (Isn't necessary but helps with a bit of luck)
Nidhogg Rocket Launcher (Isn't necessary but helps with a bit of luck)
Shield:
2501/258
2036/257 - Quick Health Regen (For Healing since Stat and Turret won't be reliable in my setup)
I also have a Rose shield, but I hardly use it. I need to play around with it a little more.
Grenade:
Transfusion, but I doubt it'd help much.
Mods:
1. Support Gunner Class
+24 Team Ammo Regen
+4 Stockpile
+3 Impact
+42% Team Magazine Size
2. Rifleman Class Mod
+42% Combat Rifle Damage
+3 Assault
+3 Overload Skill
+4 Impact
+18 Combat Rifle Ammo Regen
Normally, I can full-time this mod when I use nothing but assault rifles, but I switch between combat and sniper rifles a lot so I keep the Support Mod on more often than not.
Skills:
All maxed at level 5~
Impact
Sentry
Metal Storm
Assault
Defense
Quick Charge
Fitness
Aid Station
Overload
Grit
Stat
I have Cauterize at level 2 and Refire at level 1 atm as well. When soloing Crawmerax, I imagine Deploy, Refire, and Barrage would help a lot more maxed out, but with Roland as my main, Metal Storm and builds for every other mob in the game is just so much more fun imo.
Now...for Crawmerax...I won't lie, he's a pita when you're on anyone else but Lilith. 9 times out of 10, you're going to die just trying to get to that glitched corner. There's no other way to survive really. There's a chance you can run around if the 3 adds that spawn are the armored ones since they're slow, but having that happen by chance is rare.
When you start the battle arriving straight from the lift, deploy the Sentry Turret and hope that it attracts every mob, including Crawmerax. If it does, you're in luck. Make a mad dash for the corner and hope it lasts long enough for you to make a few shots on his back. I suggest using a sniper for this to start out. It's much more economical than using rockets or anything else that requires a bit of spray-and-pray technique. If you have a Bessie or Skullmasher, it usually only takes 2-3 shots to take out his back, but he usually doesn't stay still long enough for you to remove his shell.
When he's all glitched and stuck doing nothing but roars and flailing like a cheerleader, go ahead and take your time getting his weak spots. If you don't have an ammo regen mod (I don't see how it'd be possible not to being Roland...), take your time on the shots. If he still has his back in place, I suggest keeping a few limbs on him so you an maneuver around him later. I find that he turns much more quickly when he has no limbs, making it harder to take out his back shell, which is the hardest part of the whole fight.
If you manage to bring him down to the point where you really only need his back shell down, you're going to need your turret distracting everything again so you can make a mad dash for his back once more. The problem is...you need to deploy the turret somewhere other than the glitched corner. This is where the problem comes in. Everyone knows where you are by this point, and depending on the mobs, you'll probably die trying to deploy the turret in a place where you can turn Crawmerax. So, you'll have to either kill off the adds and hope they respawn as the Armored crabs, kill off all the adds so they don't respawn at all (could take more than half an hour), or risk your chances and make a dash to deploy the turret and run back. Whichever you decide to do, you want to deploy the turret in one of two places: above the corner where you hid, or the elevator spot. If you plant it at the elevator, try and run back to either the glitched corner or behind the eastern rocks and get a solid shot on his back quickly. If you deploy the turret above the glitched corner, run to the eastern rocks.
With all that said and done, there are two other way to take out his back without moving from the corner having him face you straight on. One way is to aim the Nidhogg rockets at an angle so that its burst hits his back since it acts kind of like an MIRV grenade. I've tried this before but the timing and experimentation with it can be frustrating. If you manage to do damage in a certain angle, stick with it and keep trying until he's dead. Ammo shouldn't be a problem with regen. The other way to do it is with an Orion sniper. You can chain the shots so that it ricochets off each other to hit his back. Again, this takes a bit of angling practice to get it just right.
Good luck! Hope that helps :X
P.S. Level Lilith
really helpful write-up, thanks a bunch. almost 61 so i guess it's just a matter of me trying to pick up some of the right items.
how do this boss's items compare to knoxx armory runs on playthrough 2 though? i'm assuming we're talking about playthrough 1 crawmerax solos and not PT 2, right?
Crawmerax is the same in PT 1 and 2, it drops more 55-61 items while Armory is 48-61 in my experience.
