really helpful write-up, thanks a bunch. almost 61 so i guess it's just a matter of me trying to pick up some of the right items.

how do this boss's items compare to knoxx armory runs on playthrough 2 though? i'm assuming we're talking about playthrough 1 crawmerax solos and not PT 2, right?

Np at all. The reason I suggested 61 and decent guns is because you need to do a significant amount of damage at high risk factors. His back takes about 9000 hp. I've seen a lvl 30 do 7 or so damage, but obviously, that's with low level guns. I think most of my guns are 50+ by the time I finished Armory, so that should give you a range of what guns to use.

Also, if you're a fan of SMGs, the Anarchy line is really handy against him in particular. Atreides gave us a sweet one a while back <3. And yeah, as the others said, the level ranges for drops are correct. Better drops and loot off Crawmerax opposed to the Armory. Although the armory isn't bad either. Found a 2900+ Redemption launcher there a while back on my first run, and a few other good guns. I found a few Assault Rifles with 441 dmg, 91acc, and 15 fire rate there, but the highest damage one I've seen at 446 dropped off Crawmerax.

Sucks, I love borderlands, tons and tons of fun. Now maybe it's cause I did a shitload of duping, but I have basically "the best" version of nearly every gun I'm interested in, but within a week I got tired of doing Crawmerax and glitching the armory. GearBox has STILL yet to address what they are going to do about scaling the rest of the game, as it stands now, once you're 61, with all add-ons, you have $90 worth of game, and about $5 worth of playable content once you hit 61. I, along with many others would love it if the rest of the game scaled so that we could at least have some variety when farming and what not. GearBox has remained silent on the issue, and they are usually a very open developer and post quite frequently on their forums in regards to what their plans are.

Borderlands is literally the only thing that makes me want to replace the blu-ray diode that fried in my PS3 4 months ago. That and the promise of GT5.

it's interesting you can essentialy up the level on your weapon in willowtree to match your level and the dupe deleter wont delete it. though I've only done it on my weapons so situations my change.

Updates to Borderlands have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

* Added support for Logitech LCD screens on the G13 gameboard and G15/G19 keyboards
* Added Steam achievements

I just got this game for PS3 and I have some questions about co-op (derp I don't feel like searching the entire forum and search function sucks).

If I'm level 17 and my friend is 25 and we're killing level 18 mobs, do I get the same amount of XP as if I was solo?

Are there co-op only missions?

If someone has completed some of the missions I've done do they get credit?

Level cap is 50 without the expansions?

Love this game, pissed I waited so long to get it.

You'd get the same exp as if you were solo I do believe. Been so long since I played at all.

All I hope for in the new DLC is a fix for the retarded freezing issues on fat PS3s. Haven't even been able to play the game for more than 15 minutes since downloading Knoxx.

Pretty sure if I remember the higher level sets what exp you get. He gets more, while you get less for being lower.

There are no co-op only missions. Same missions from single player. No, they don't get credit.
