I think I may actually get a hard copy of the GOTY edition; I play on PC but haven't touched it in a while, currently level 51 I think, I beat Ned in the underground (due to some glitch, god he was hard without it) and I think I beat one of the 3 Moxxi's arenas (ow my wrists)

anyway I loved this game, wouldn't mind starting over again, totally rolling Siren again, way too much fun with SMG/Shotgun/Sniper combos especially later in the game with caustic weapons replacing my lovely fire element SMGs


I downloaded it before but I noticed certain co-op features had trouble working at times, worth a hard copy for the amount of enjoyment I got from this game

I thought about rolling a siren for shits and giggles, but I can't get over how much of a one-man army Roland is with that turret in later levels. That and I love the wave of death combat rifle I have right now. Not gonna boot the game but it's 320~damage, 91% acc, 12.5 fire rate, and a 72 round base clip (which is like 170 after my clip mods.) After a kill (with the fire rate perk), it's literally unstoppable, pinpoint death. (I also have a seriously OP rocket launcher that's a 5-round burst fire dealing 1900 (and some change) per rocket and a quick fire-rate, so in two seconds I can effectively rain 19,000 damage in a small area. So. Fucking. Broken. Neither gun is a mod/hack, found them both. :>

Seriously though, with the purple/oranges I'm carrying around, all the pearlescent weapons I've found online are jokes or not in the same league. I know color!=quality per se, but the one pearlescent weapon I personally found was a 2400 damage rocket launcher. Woo. The one I carry is way, way better. (Especially with the ammo-regen mod I have, oh god.)

I definitely agree about Pearlescent weapons, it just seems like there aren't enough of them, and the ones there are aren't good enough to justify how rare they are. It almost feels like with oranges/yellows/and even some blues you can get a much better weapon if you luck out with getting towards the upper ranges of what that gun is capable of having in terms of damage/fire rate/bonuses, but Pearlescents seem to have a much smaller range and a very specific set of bonuses/stats.

I'm liking the new DLC a lot so far but I definitely wish they had upped the level cap now instead of waiting for the GOTY edition.

Yep, the only pearlescents I've found that are better than what I already have is a Serpens and a Bessie (which I don't use since I hate sniping in this game), all the others are just sitting in the storage at Moxxi's.

Even oranges are a joke for the most part. The OP weapons I have are all purples, and the only orange that's been an actual upgrade was a 320x11 shotgun that fired +2 rounds. All the other orange class weapons were either complete downgrades or all very-low damage with ammo-regen (and fuck that. I have a class mod to do that.)

Ya, a lot of oranges are still pretty trashy (things like ammo regen, larger mags, etc), but I have a couple which are nearly game breaking. Most dark orange Maliwans are ridiculous (Hellfire, Firehawk, Crux, Defiler) along with a few others like Atlas Ogres and S&S Orions / Dracos.

Maybe my defiler is orange. I don't remember now. The revolver I use is a 2-round (lol 4 round, I fucking love rolan's buffs) with 1100 damage, 93 acc, 1.9 fire rate and x4 caustic elemental. That one could be, but the rocket launcher and assault rifle are definitely purple.

Downloading DLC now, finally took care of all my obligations for the day. Probably will be playing for the majority of the night, have tons of badass 61 guns I'm willing to dupe for BG'ers that feel like killing some claptraps with me. XBL GT: CrazyAK420

question regarding playthroughs--

if you're already on playthrough 2, can you go back to playthrough 1 and do the DLC a 2nd time to get the backpack SDUs? I know this new DLC has like 3, and I know you could get all 6 if you were starting from scratch, but im not sure if you can go back and start over again.

Between the SDUs/Skill Points from DLC I'm almost considering starting another Siren just so I can have everything maxed out

So yeah...

Anyone else really disappointed with the DLC? I just finished up all the quests, only took about 3-4 hours. The story was decent but they didn't really do as much with it as I'd hoped they would. There's no crawmerax-style hard mobs, just a decently tough final boss. The final reward for the DLC is just a room full of chests-- red chests, none of which gave me anything I could use. I didn't encounter any new weapons either. All in all I'd say this probably ranks under Dr. Ned for me, and at least that had zombies.

To top it all off the last few achievements all require grinding easy mobs for rare drop items. I guess I'll consider it when they raise the level cap.
