what'd gearbox do?

Also, been playing the game recently as of late. Brick's my main, but it's getting boring doing a melee build. Anyone know of any good alternate Brick builds? Or should he just be spec'd for Berserk all the time?
Been having alot more fun with Roland instead lol, but gawd, getting kinda sick of "It's like Christmas!"

Supposedly the patch for the level increase released today.

It did, and also users are supposedly reporting that upon logging in they instantly level up from 61-69 because the game is using the "stored exp" you earned while being capped at 61? At least that's the word so far over on the GBX forums. This patch also scales the entire game to your level once you have completed certain quests.

So I finally got this. A little later than hopped, but really the first chance that I've had enough free time. Going to be playing with a friend, but I started already and am level 18. I'm playing Roland with emphasis on healing atm, not really sure if there's a better path, but it seems to be working out well atm - not like I can't respec

I'm currently on the quest where you have to restart the ECHO system after rescuing Tannis, I'm assuming I'm at the tail-end of the game?

Got every single quest done that isn't story related, and it didn't take me that long to do. Main portion of the game feels pretty hollow as you don't care for any of the NPCs (well, except Tannis, solely because of her awesome log recordings), and the plot moves at a snails pace.

How is the DLC in comparison? Given all the DLC combined take up more space than the core game, I'm expecting it to either be as long as the game itself, or be extremely varied in location/mob encounters. I'll probably tackle them after I finish the last line of story-quests. Speaking of which, how do you initiate playthrough-2 exactly? I don't want to accidentally start it until I finished my run of the DLC add-ons first.

after you beat it the first time when you go to select your character again you'll have an option to select playthrough 1 or 2

Wait, so I can just bounce back/forth between the two freely as if I had two saves using the same dude?

Regular game side quests are kinda meh. Main story isn't much better either.

Playthrough 2 is toggled. So even if you're through playthrough 2 main story, you can go back to playthrough 1 and finish up the moxxi arenas that you havent.

Also found that playing solo is boring whereas playing with others makes it much more fun and challenging.

As for the DLC, Zombie island is hilariously fun. Well written comedy with cutscenes (which is why it's probably a large file size to boot) Expect to pick up lots of BRRRAAAAIIINNNSSS!

Moxxi is fun too though after a while (especially the 20 round arena matches) it can take forever. Took my friend and I about 4 hours to get through a session. Died repeatedly on like set 18.

Same goes for knoxx. Never downloaded claptrap revo. Each DLC excluding Moxxi takes about 50-75% of the time it takes to complete the core game.

My roommate and I are doing pretty well. He's playing lilith and I'm roland. Level 32 right now, but not quite done with story mode. Having a ton of fun with this game, though. We'll be playing again tomorrow night if anyone wants to mess around with us. We're running through all the quests including non-story ones, but we haven't touched DLC stuff yet (don't even know how to access that stuff yet)

What platform you playing on? If PC I have a 34-35 Brick that just finished Trash Coast. Trying to level him up so I can make him a blaster with a Massive Redemption and Mongol at 37. God I <3 those rocket launchers.

I just finished the main story 2nd playthrough on my 53 Siren. Fun to see everything finally scale to level. Just need motivation to level brick is all.

This really bugged me with the underdome riot DLC, it blows having to play for hours to reach the fun waves. The fights really don't pick up until rounds 10+, it would have been a lot better if they let you pick which round you started at so long as you had previously reached that round.
