Hello everyone,
I was just curious to see what everyone's favorite rock band of the 90's is. My personal favorite is Nirvana but I like a lot of other bands. For me I have yet to hear any music today that can compete with the rock music of the 90's.

SMASHING PUNKINS
Yea I was very young in the early 90's but a lot of good bands came out of that decade. I've just recently become a very big fan of Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.
[flame]Radiohead[/flame]
Blink-182
JEW
Smashing Pumpkins
Deathcab for Cutie
90s Dashboard Confessional
Midtown
Cursive
Pixies
White Stripes
Foo Fighters
Muse
Only 90s bands(or were around in the 90s really) that I liked, although most got popular in the 80s or 2000s I think..
Blah blah blah horrible taste blah blah blah emo blah blah blah
Chains on Alice is very high on my list along with Jam of Pearls and Pumpkin Smashers. I also do like olde Offspring and Roses N' Guns
Belle and Sebastian.
SPIN DOCTORS
Got Everclear's 2nd album in 6th grade. It was my favorite of the decade. Foo Fighters, Weezer (especially Pinkerton), Radiohead, Ben Folds Five.
Stroke 9
Might be slightly off-kilter not-quite-rock but definitely Dropkick Murphys.
Yea I'm not sure if any of you have XM radio, but they have a channel called Lithium that plays 90's rock all the time.
Sunny Day Real Estate
Rage Against the Machine
At the Drive-In
Pixies
Toadies (Hell below/Stars above in particular)
!
Gotta' agree big time on that one.
Another one of my favorites was a band called Far. They were short lived, but god damn were they great when they were around. Kinda' sorta' along the same lines as Sunny Day.
Edit: Favorite band of all time begin in the 90s as well. Nothingface.
Far are actually still together and touring. They're coming to Philly soon.
Hrm. Wonder if it's the same line up. They split up about 10yrs ago. *starts hunting*
Edit: Wow. Split in 99' and got back together in 08'. Got together for "a handful of tours." They're working on some stuff in the studio though apparently. Hope they keep their shit together and still have the same sound. Best news I've heard in a while.
Stone Temple Pilots.
Even though their first album hit the shelves in 89 I'm going to vote Nine Inch Nails.
