This season was a lot like the last one for me. I wasn't thrilled by the start, but as business picked up so did my interest. The big difference was that this year's finale didn't disappoint. It was great to see Jax come through with the big scheme. Was I the only one who thought the dog fighting scenes were harder to watch than Otto biting his own tongue off?

I like that it didn't overextend and try too hard like last season. There was no last second dodge, no sloppy ends to tie up, there was continued complications by they didn't come out of left field or ruin a whole season's worth of storylines. Plus, the big mistake they made last year (not killing Clay) looks genius thanks to the superb way they've made him look like a sad, broken, old man who garners more sympathy than contempt. It helps that Ron Perlman is a superb actor.

i dunno where they're going with the tara thing. most likely some crap drummed up by the brother? if it was gemma, jax will just threaten to curbstomp her and she'll rescind her testimony. don't see gemma as having had time to get w/ the cops (though it certainly could have happened offscreen), don't see this as clay. the brother with the bag full of guns is the only loose end.

I don't find it believable that Jax goes from the guy who wanted nothing to do with the club for all the reasons he had, to being too dumb to get away from it while he can.

I get why they're making it that way, this gavel is so corrupting etc etc, but it's just kind of silly.

The tongue scene with Otto just made me nauseous, my stomach would not stop turning. Other than that, I thought the episode was meh.
