this shit is setting up to be a bloodbath, first piney, and now tara is supposedly going to be someplace out of the way and "safe"(ie vulnerable with no protection). i wonder if clay is willing to go the same route he went with piney and getting his hands dirty, or if he's just going to slip the cartel hitman some info about where she will be residing. either way, it doesn't look good for her, be surprised to see her make it through the season, or even the next couple of episodes(depending on when she actually departs)

also - if the police ever did some real police work around piney's death, LS written in piney's blood with clay's fingerprints should make it pretty obvious who killed him. that's assuming the police ever catch wind of it to do an actual investigation.

I'm wondering what Gemma does in this situation. Clay told her that he was going to stay at the club house, she was at the club house so obviously knew he was lying. Gemma's not stupid, she'll put the pieces together concerning Piney's death. Ever since Clay had her in a choke hold, she seems like she's been getting more and more distant from him in my opinion, and I feel like she's going to "side" with Tara and Jax (but does she risk telling Jax what they did to JT?) for the sake of her grandsons. I'm also wondering if Chibs has pieced things together, it's obvious he's been suspicious of Juice and how he's been acting, and to find him and the chain he tried to hang himself with?

What an episode. I need next week, now.

Chibs has to have figured everything out at this point. That scene was the best thing to happen in that whole goofy storyline. I was waiting for Gemma to tell Tibs, "Oh, my husband is doing something stupid. Again. Take me home."

Chibs seems to be mad at Juicyboy for considering suicide due to all the stress, not because of the snitching. I have a feeling this snitching will somehow be turned into saving the Sons from the Cartel. As expected political drama seeps into Charming. So many story lines it's difficult to figure out which one will keep the Sons alive vs. the Cartel. All the storylines the club can handle but vs. the Cartel would take something considerable large to keep them safe.

I am shocked what's his name got blasted so early. Guess the journals won't show the day of light for awhile. As for Tera leaving in a way it's the safest move, however the Cartel is so connected that it may end up killing her. However i don't see that happening as that would pretty much get Jax to leave the club.

That was my understanding too, and from the preview of next week's episode it is pretty clear that Clay is going to have the Cartel help him solve his 'Doctor problem'. Also it was shown in the preview that Jemma knows it was Clay that killed Piney. As does ol' Unser.

I suppose. When he started trying to get rich enough to get out while he can still ride, I figured he would have planned on keeping Gemma. But when you put it like that, I can see him just trying to get himself out without regards for anyone else.

Tara and Piney have read the letters, and know or can speculate enough about the whole truth about JTs death that if the club were to find out, they would kill him. Gemma has direct involvement or at least full knowledge of the events of JTs daeth that she would be completely cut off from whatever support she would currently be entitled to. remember what they did to the guys in Sambel that were making deals and such without full votes, and lead to members being killed

Jax riding to Portland (I hope they come say hi!) with Tara. Clay using the cell. The Cartel capo telling Clay "once you set it in motion you can't stop it". Gee, I wonder what could possibly happen next week...

EDIT: yeah I typed all that before watching the 'next week on Sons of Anarchy'... but still. Come on. Surprise me with something here eh?

I thought last night's episode was really good, but I agree, not a lot of swerving going on in the plot. Mostly solid character development for Jax and Clay. Jax has had a very Hamlet approach to everything leading up to this point. He sort of goes with the flow without asserting himself or finding a way to act, so it was really nice to see the way that he handled the situation with the cartel.

Your Hamlet comparison/likening is so very apt. I completely agree and am not sure why it escaped my attention. I still have high hopes, and so far every season (for me) has had this slump in a few episodes and then it just tears my eyes off at the end. I enjoy it, so I am not sure why I am complaining. Three episodes remain I believe, so I hope the all kill it.

At the rate Clay is going, I wonder if the show will end next season. I'm guessing this season will end with Clay & Jax about to kill eachother.

Jax has pushed the shit that happened in season 1 to the sidelines. Clay was the reason Opi's wife got shot up. That has yet to bubble to the surface.
