Posting in the hopes that those bots dont come back to this thread.

For those who dont know Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2010 - Reverse of Arcadia came out on the Nintendo DS last month. This is by far the deepest and bestest card-based yugioh game available.

3500+ cards
Dark Synchros (in the form of synchro summons involving special tributes)
Earthbound Gods (properly "balanced" lol)
LESS GRINDING (goddamn i hate fighting EVERYONE 5 times, thats some real bullshit)
Longer and WAY more entertaining/challenging story mode
Less turbo duels :D
A Better turbo dueling system (now you can do something with all those speed counters, such as draw cards just by spending them with a speed spell in your hand)

I beat the game last night and I 100% recommend it to anyone who plays yugioh or wants a card game with some actual depth. ALL the combos you could ever want are in, Darklord fairies, Glads, Lightsworns, FORTUNE LADIES, Miracle Synchros, Dark Synchros, Koa'kis, XX sabers, all the ritual support, all the machine support, all the new starters up to the new machine one. It's seriously good

These are in the game too, which i didnt know and my basic synchro deck got rolled by Blister's version of it o.O

I was like lol okay, free 2500 atk monsters? yeah thats real fair lol

Running Cyber Dragons might be better than System downs if youre talking sidedeck. at least they can be used for other things than just getting rid of machines.

I havnt played one yet though. my locals is filled with monarchs, glads and blackwings.
Don't know why people are trying to bring monarchs back. They keep getting wrecked by everything else.
And I love my Dark Simorgh deck. not being able to set things messes up so many people lol. not to mention I can bring out 4 2700+ attackers extremely easily barring opponents backrow

Dark simourgh decks are really cool actually. I dont have a lot of cards in the game (lol comparing my game to you guys in real life) but its really refreshing to see people using a lot of different things in WC mode. Its not all Lightsworn, glads and cat synchro.

Okay i just got OHKO'd online against a The Fabled dexk, and i must say that archetype is one of the most impressive/unfair i have seen in a long time. Like, every single fabled monster discards and combos with the others to special summon each other, i pretty much lost to fable unicorn + ancient sacred wyvern on his first turn. That imo is MUCH scarier than any lightsworn, blackwing, gladiator or whatever decks i've seen

People are finally catching on to the Flamvell engine and Rekindling.

I think I've already gotten used to Machinas and I don't need System Down to do it. I just play SynchroCat.

Flamcat pisses me off much more than synchrocat. It is synchro cat, except with better synchroing and lots more special summoning.

Random: Hope Trishula gets banned as soon as it's released.

Randomier: This guy is pretty beastly, and with a dedicated deck could be extremely annoying.

Then there's this guy of the same breed, with what I think wins the dumbest most pointlessly long name of the game. Surging Dragon Knight Dragoequites

yeah, imo the game would be better without synchros. The whole game now revolves around special summoning as much as possible so you can synchro even more.
Instead of Synchros they really should have just fine tuned fusions and ritual monsters.

After reading your post Souj it shows I know almost nothing about Yugioh now.

Has changed so much over the years it seems. I am probably sure most of the cards I had are now illegal in tournaments.

Yeah things have changed a lot nowadays. Most decks are really based on getting best stuff as fast as possible, and theres many MANY deck builds that can do it, just some are better at it than others.

Synchro monsters did change a lot of things yeah, but i think it will get more and more balanced as stuff like rescue cat and hopefully fabled monsters get nerfed @_@

Those fusion synchros look crappy though. Pretty sure Thought ruler archfiend or something does that effect. Or maybe its /assault mode that does.

thought ruler doesnt have an assault mode.
He gains you life points = to the attack of a monster it destroys
and if it's targeted by an effect of a spell or trap, you can pay 1000 to negate it.

Psychicker, who if you notice looks like an evolved form of Thought Ruler,
has the same effect as thought ruler, and sort of has the 2nd part, except it cant be destroyed by any effect, trap/magic or monster. it doesnt even care if it targets or not.
He also gets trample effect. I believe he's the highest attacking monster with trample (tied with goryu)
2900 attacker you cant destroy with an effect. So in metagame, the only way youre getting rid of it is Brionic, Red Dragon archfiend, book of moon, gale or a pumped up sirroco

brionic and gale are at 1, don't think anyone runs 3 books, and people maybe run 1 if any red dragon.
If he gets a good deck built around him, I see it changing what people consider putting in their decks.
of course, it could flop worse than Absolute Zero, and no one will care about it.

most people I know run2 side 3rd, except for synchro cats because they use summoner monk.
idk, maybe region differences.

I also wish I stockpiled Solemn Judgments when everyone thought that it was a garbage card and then sold them all when they were $40 each. That'd have been great. No one played PWWB when it 1st came out either.

Looking at Surging Knight Dragon w/ethefuckitis , its summoning conditions + needing poly looks fucking terrible. I can't think of a single application for this card.
