I made this thread already but it's like a year old and I really do not want to search and necro that old thread.

Yeah I like KH so what? Birth by sleep is the only one I'm looking forward too the DS one doesn't seem all that good tbh.

Story

The game's story focuses on the three main characters' —Terra, Ventus, and Aqua— efforts to find a missing Keyblade master, Master Xehanort and his apprentice. The story is split into three separate scenarios each focusing on one of the character's efforts to locate Master Xehanort, while the characters will be alone most of the time during their journey there will be times where the characters paths will cross. Nomura has stated that all of the three characters are equally important storywise, with neither scenario being more important than the other. The game will focus on several main themes such as Ventus' identity and connection with Roxas as well as the mystery behind Xehanort's Memories. Each characters story will take about 15 hours, hence the total amount of gameplay hours would be around 50 hours making Birth By Sleep the longest game in the series to date.[12]

I love confusing stories so I guess this is why I like this series.

The Unversed (アンヴァース, Anvāsu?), meaning "those who were not well-versed in their own existences", are the main enemies of the upcoming game Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and as such, very little is known about them at this time. However, series creator Tetsuya Nomura has made a few facts known via interview. The Unversed possess some sort of connection to the Heartless and the Nobodies of the main series and are, in essence, "the opposite of human life." They are also known to "grow off of negative emotions." Due to a translation error, they were previously known to English-speaking audiences as the "Unbirths".

One snippet of text seen in the Deep Dive video is "The third enemy = Nobody". If Nobodies are the 'third' enemy, presumably the Heartless are the 'second' and the Unversed might therefore be the 'first', going chronologically.

Looking forward to this as well. Fuck the haters, I love me some KH. I wanna check out the DS one, but without a DS that's hard to do. I'm glad they're still keeping the Disney elements (I know that's the main hook of the series, but by the end of KH2 you didn't feel it as much). Anyway, enough with the side stories, KH3 please.

It's probably safe to assume they'll reuse a lot of areas. Hopefully it'll just be a case of same base area but remapped and not the exact same path through levels.

Only example I can think of this would be DMC 4 going through the other areas but as Dante but with different routes.

DMC4 didn't really have different routes, it was still going through the exact same areas backwards. I more meant same visual style for each area, but entirely different lay outs.

It could go a couple different routes, with using the same worlds as said (also the most likely) where different characters having access to different parts of the worlds/areas and occasionally crossing each others paths. Each character could have 3-5 worlds of there own that there story takes place in with a couple of the worlds overlapping allowing for them to interact or having a couple of "hub" worlds, or possibly a couple of main story areas were each characters path leads them to that place where they would meet up from time to time.

The worst case scenario is every character covers the same world in pretty close to the same route with some dialogue changes and different character interactions, I hope they don't go this way tho.

This is a prequel for KH.
Also, she is resurrected in KH2 so dying doesn't mean anything

Its release date is set for January 2010, and Nomura has said that the game will be definitely released by February 2010, even with delays.
