there is almost no way S-E won't cash in on the HD Collection craze, so we'll more than likely see KH BBS Final Mix (JP onry), KH RE: Coded, KH 3D, and KH Collection long before KH3. At least we can cross our fingers that if the KH Collection is released for ps3, it'll finally include the final mix content from KH1 and 2.
yeah it's actually kinda ridiculous just how Jedi they went with birth by sleep
Forgot to post where I got that from:

So yeah, this feels totally different as Ventus. Snow White is an awesome fucking d-link at least this early, and the Castle of Dreams feels a lot cooler, like a real KH area. I like playing as Ventus a lot more, fucking Terra's slow ass can go die lol
I will slap your shit. Ventus is the worst of the bunch. Toss up between him and Aqua for worst worlds, but I'd lean more towards his being worst. Terra is undisputed king in terms of locations and boss battles for sure.
well I'm only about an hour into ventus so I'm not sure, Castle of Dreams is pretty sweet though, although Terra's Castle of Dreams was a great place to grind commands
Ventus's story felt like a filler to me (at the beginning at least). Completely pointless shit.
Now I'm too lazy to even finish it with final mix coming.
All 3 characters have basically no real story progression at all between the start and the end of the game. Ventus just has the dumbest... side stories I guess? Whatever you want to call it. Terra definitely gets the most notable amount of progression since he's the only one who really talks to Xehanort throughout the game.
The three character set up is definitely nice in terms of gameplay variety (despite a lot of commands and command styles being very same-y). But it makes the story a bore, it was bad enough before having to revisit worlds, but now we're forced to do the same shit two-three times, with very little difference between each characters take on each world/boss.
Typical Kingdom Hearts, really.
Basically nothing happens cept at the very beginning and the very end.
At least the Ventus's story had me exploring different places than with Terra. Dunno if that changes later, but
I didn't think it was nearly as bad like that. I still would have preferred to be done with a world the first time I clear it though.
There's a handful of sections where only a single character goes to that area (cliffside in Neverland for Aqua, etc), but for the most part you visit the large majority of each world with either two or all three characters. Not to mention even without, you're still looking at the same exact setting each time which makes it all the more mundane. KH always had some backtracking, but the 3 character thing just exemplifies that, especially since there's a whole bunch of bosses you end up fighting twice too.
Meh I really didn't like Terra much. It goes Aqua>Ven>Terra for me, the opposite order I played them.
Ventus and Aqua's stories start off weak but the get better as they progress. Final Episode is the highlight of this game in terms of story and the various Vanitas confrontations are all awesome both story and gameplay-wise.
In fact what really hurts Terra's story is the lack of Vanitas. Plus Aqua and Ven get to fight all the cool Disney villains. Terra gets... Experiment 221 and that's it?
I'm also not a fan of good-melee-crap-mage characters, I found Terra rather boring to play.
oh, btw... if you didn't already think PvP was stupid enough in this game... Doom works.
So question to KH fans, if I'm more interested in gameplay than story, is it worth sticking with KH 358/2 days? I kinda liked the command system (placing the icons on the grid and whatnot) but it was a little boring for me and I only played the first few hours or so.
I'm also about halfway through RE:Chain of Memories, basically need to grind otherwise I can't get past Larxene. The game always seemed like something that'd be more fun when you're all uber but I didn't make it that far lol.
NOPE.
Days gameplay kinda sucks.
I just wikipediad the plot of Days, should be good enough.
ok good that'll save me some time lol
I hope RE: Coded is good, the stuff I saw on andriasang made it look decent though
and honestly I need to sit down and wiki the plot for the whole series. I played 1 and 2 but it's been so long and I have no fucking clue what's going on half the time.
