I don't bother using Teleport, that shit fucks me over whenever I need to Cartwheel, Teleporting makes me vunerable most of the time or place me in odd positions that'll still get me killed.

The main reason I like Ven is for Ars Solum and his Finishers. He has some really good finishers, but he's the weakest of the 3 though when it comes to Strength.

oh and these d-link/munny/energy magnet spells for aqua are retarded, lol

btw, is it just me, or do the elemental damage versions of the movement commands (firewheel, thunder roll) seem to make you less invulnerable than the plain versions?

They do, they're pretty much worthless for bosses basically. Decent for random enemies though.

I have to say that fighting MF with Ven is a lot easier and makes for a quicker kill as well. His Finishers and his Counter Block is so nice on MF. And I didn't use a single attack command or get hit. Now I just need to do the same with Aqua and Terra. I don't know effective Finishers I can use on MF with those two though.

so RE: Coded comes out in Japan this week, and it looks... really good. Definitely a lot better than 358/2 days, the ability system looks really neat. Looks like there's sections with different gameplay modes (sidescrolling/turn-based sections) from this trailer.

utada hikaru is on sabatical supposedly, after the relative failure of her 2nd english album, but I really hope she records the theme when it finally does come out. I can't imagine someone else actually singing a KH theme

There was more than just Lightning in the avatar bit. Looked like a Snow outfit (could have been Seifer though I suppose, they're pretty damn similar) and Vanille in there too.

Whats with all the blocks being everywhere in most of the fights? Is this some new gimmick for the battle system?

They're bugs attacking the data worlds in the story. They are in the phone version of the game too.

The new battle system for Re:Coded looks nice and fast paced like :BBS. It even seems like they took some abilities straight from :BBS's repertoire.

I also hate not having the "full version" of any KH games too. KH2:FM was by far the best investment before Re:CoM for North America was released. I played both those games for weeks. I still want to get KH:FM sometime later in the future no doubt. BBS:FM seems like KH:FM content wise. Only getting whatever they didn't get from the NA version plus another boss, keyblade, and another secret ending hinting the next Kingdom Hearts game.

Mysterious Figure's music theme in BBS is pure ear porn just like Terra's was in KH2:FM (Lingering Armor).

There's no Secret Movie or Secret Event in Re:Coded, just a Secret Talk. Apparently part of the Secret Talk is shown in the TGS trailer.

Hah, so Aqua is cool but god damn her def sucks. It's like every time I get hit I'm either down to half health or nearly dead. Her sub final boss was a lot more difficult than her final (but her final boss music owns).

Overall, I like Aqua. I just need to get Time Splicer cause I couldn't find it. But Triple Firaga/Blizzaga is nice damage. Oh, and Ghost Drive is awesome, even though it's hard to hit stuff.

Also, thanks for the info on firewheel and stuff. I knew I was getting hit more on the final episode boss with that on.

Aqua gets Time Splicer from a chest in Neverland. At those cliffs with all the jump... orb... things iirc.

Yup. There's a chest on the other path at the very top with the bouncy orbs. I swear she also gets a free Megaflare in a chest as well, 'cause I don't remember melding 4 for her, but I remember melding 3. I'm not 100% sure on that one, though.

I got every chest with her and had to meld Megaflare so I believe you may be incorrect.

Yeah, had to double check earlier. I guess I just got ahold of FF and CF pretty early in her story. I know she does indeed get quite a few nice commands from her Sticker Album and Chests.

Time Splicer is really awesome, especially as a combo finisher, although Barrier Surge is pretty decent. Between Time Splicer and the Ghost Drive command style you can avoid getting hit pretty easily, even on bosses. Also a lot of the aqua-only spells are fucking amazing, particularly Thundaga Shot and Seeker Mine, and Triple Firaga/Blizzaga.

But yeah she gets Time Splicer, Firaga Burst, and Ice Barrage from chests, I forget what else.

Are there any Shotlocks that are better than Bio Barrage btw? I just got Lightbloom but I don't remember Terra/Ventus' ultimate shotlocks being all that much better than the other ones.

Prism Rain!

Edit: For Aqua at least. Lightbloom good for mobs, Prism Rain for bosses. I don't use shotlocks much on any character, though

Edit 2: Prism Rain works well on regular enemies as well, but it really shines against bosses, can pretty much take out any Arena Boss with just one Prism Rain or a Prism Rain and a half, assuming you get all Excellent timing.
