Yeah ok so forget MF, I definitely don't have the patience to deal with this cheap bullshit. There is absolutely nothing about this fight that isn't luck based

Well, there's quite a few things that aren't. But I'll agree that it is a luck-based fight, at least if you're playing with Terra.
I once thought there were ways to avoid all of his moves no matter what, since that's the case for all of the other enemies... but this is NOT the case.

Orbs are an instant fuck you for Terra. You NEED several Curagas set to handle that. His wannabe Sonic Blade thing can game over you sometimes even with Once More and you can't do shit about it once you get smacked by that first one (the move doesn't even have a tell and it comes out fucking fast too... also, even if you slide dash out of the first hit or block it or whatever you want to do, the second hit can come back on you before you get a chance to react). GG Square.
His rape rope can game over you if you get caught by it if he follows with anything but the X attack, the invisible mode is pretty bullshit on Terra as well since he can do multiple attacks at the same time.

At least with the other two characters you can just hold the analog stick any direction and spam square for safety during all of this crap so if you're using either of them, he's really not THAT bad.

If you're really having that much trouble you can always use cheapest and easiest method of killing him, which is Ice Cream.

Also I beat him as Terra, basically turned off all abilities and did 5x thunder surge and 3x curaga, then spammed like a bitch until he died. Too bad the No Name keyblade isn't even that good lol

On to Ventus/Aqua.

Also VLS with the sonic blade/rock trick is fun, if he's not going to fight fair then why the fuck should I?

You know that surge stuff you did? It works with the other characters too... ya know?
Also, it's EASIER with them since you can actually dodge every single one of his attacks with those two.

It mostly shines for Aqua since she's a Magic user. Use the Ice Cream that activates Sky Climber, use another ice cream to instantly get the finisher, one finisher takes about a bar and a half of his life, repeat that till dead. There's vid on youtube showing it.

yeah, I knew terra was going to be the hardest and that's why I did him first. It feels nice/satisfying to win, but no one should actually mistake these fights for real fun lol

Yeah, sadly this is true. VLS was fun... MF is just a chore.

@Domon While I do love abusing that against Zack on lvl1, I love abusing stop commands against Hook at lvl1 on Ven story.

I'm not going to bother with Ven and Aqua Lv1, I think.
Unless I feel like using cheat codes to play Terra on their scenarios, that is. I may or may not do this.

I plan to do yet another playthrough this time, which is speed Critical run, then I'll officially be burnt out. You and Atreides are like the only 2 people I know who actually likes playing Terra, assuming Atreides mains Terra, but I know for sure Domon mains him.

Well, I'll put it this way... if I'm going to be playing a challenge run, why would I want to play characters that make the entire game easy mode anyway? That's the reason I don't feel like playing them again.

All of them weren't bad on lvl1. With Terra you practice timing and knowing your enemy attack pattern so you know when to dodge, spamming sqaure like you're Ven/Aqua gets you game over quick, even outside of lvl1. Terra was tough for me at lvl1 due to takink 5 years to all 3 parts of final boss + him using Curaga. And honestly, I find it better to time sqaure/dodge with Aqua/Ven over spamming sqaure, you can still easily get hit spamming, which is why I don't do it anymore.

ok yeah this actually harder with ventus, he keeps spamming moves a lot faster than he did with terra. I almost beat him and then he spammed that ability tornado 5x in a row, and a few times now he's beaten me within 10 seconds of starting the fight.

I found you can block somes as Ven you can't block with others, and his counter block and certain finishers work wonders on MF. I can't help but feel Ven is best person to kill MF with. Fatest times I can remember are 1:46 Ven, 2:34 Aqua, 3:27 Terra? I'm always fighting MF when bored, looking for new strats to kill him.

yeah now he's spamming that capture beam over and over too. It just feels like he's doing the same move over and over until it connects.

Half the time thunder surge doesn't even stun him, and 99% of the time if you try to cycle through your curagas to get to another thunder surge you get fucked instantly. I wish I could turn off command styles altogether, since thunderbolt has gotten me killed multiple times now.

I'd put all your surges in a row and then set the first one as your shortcut.
Doing this you can also just go to shortcut and go down one to get to your curaga as well when you need it (assuming you set only surges and curagas)

yeah I gave up on that after about 50 tries, now trying the ice cream strategy which is almost as retarded since you either never get a chance to use a 2nd one before the first wears off, or get frozen fortune instead

lol yeah, this strategy is just plain awful, the guy in that video got lucky. Frozen Fortune activates about 50% of the time and Sky Climber not only gives MF a perfect opportunity to close in on you, but makes your dodge almost worthless. It's nice that Sky Climber does a lot of damage but unless you get lucky enough that MF never uses Laser Orbs, that fire pillar move, or splits into clones you might as well beat him with no commands at all.
