I watched Gleip do a practice run a while back, it was terrible. They're very, very, very good players but I have my doubts.

Practice run was ~3 months ago so they must've improved dramatically since then.

once you hit lvl 99, you will be 6 manning AV anyways and destroying him. With 1 full alliance, you can probably chi blast him too all hell with a bunch of WHM/MNKs anyway.

WHM/MNK with full MND build and boosting 11 times assuming subjob boost lasts up to 11 boosts plus its the lvl 99 base MND plus better MND gear choices = 3k chi blast?

either way, AV will be the new kirin and kirin will be soloable or duoable with 1 rdm grabbing his pets and kiting while the other one solos kirin.

SE is making a new "AV" HNM in the WOTG end game so he will probably be the new badass that can wipe an alliance of level 99 players.... ouch....

You can't beat AV with 6 in 2hrs even at 99 lol.... it isn't possible. In order to lock Benedicition you would either have to wait for it, which could take forever, or you would have to lock other 2hrs so the probability it uses it increases which speeds up the locking of it. Even if you did lock it, you couldn't possibly live to an AV with full 2hrs when it gets to bracelets mode. AV definitely will be beat at 99 (unless they buff it), but not without sufficient number of players still.

I watched them do a practice run on AV a few days ago. They had some decent things going on, PLD's had awesome Wind Resistance set, all with Haute / Aegis on, Aero did practically nothing to them, Aeroga followed the same suit.

They had BRD's casting Wind Resist buffs etc etc, they had, I believe, 4 Aegis PLD's and I saw an Apoc DRK. Unfortunately this run did not go so well for them, as an unlucky meteor dropped some hoes. I was afk when the run AV was killed happened or I'd have ran out there to see for myself, but as Sho said I'll ask around see if anyone took a pic or not.

I will agree with Sath that Gleip is/was one of the strongest LSs on Carby when I was still playing, the only thing I'm skeptical of is they always were low manning shit. Outside of about 10 or some really active players they didn't seem to have many on. Hell we used to team up with them on some Tiamat kills when the other didn't have many on just to get it dead quicker.

Did they recruit alot of new people or did they absorb GR and NH?

I guess I'll have to log on tonight after class and ask Vivaud or Bison what happened. They speak pretty good English and have never been the whole "jp onry" type to me.
