IMHO, it don't mean a hill of beans. It only matters if you play that game. I really don't mean to sound snarky, but this is a question or post that would do much better in a gamer forum than here, as it is not a myth, nor is it scientific.

Maybe I will get the noob-award of the year for this post, but I am sure the last unknown secret is something foolish that only a fool can figure out.

So many years into the game, this still has not been figured out. Thus I assume it is connected to something that has been neglected all the time. I know there were some torque theories going on, but what about the jailer weapons? Some of them seem situational and others seem just trash. From all the endgame gear (ok excluding dfeet etc) some of these weapons seem to get trashed the most.
Moreover, there is a connection between JoL and AV as you know for example the amount of pets you need to kill to stop AV regen, but also the kind of adjustions SE makes to the game were not "AV/PW" but "AV/PW/JoL."

I have no new idea or anything just some things that seem weird to me:

It is all about the lance! w

- JoL and AV are interconnected
- JoL drops a lance (100% unlike the other drops.)
- AV uses a lance
- AV does not drop a lance as you could expect extrapolating from Odin for instance. He drops a tachi as the only form of main weapon.
- I think there is exactly one DRG in the SE video. Indicating some key position. I.e. not as a damage dealer (if so why bring only one?).


Lastly, from a more romantic point of view:
- AV may seem invincible, can just be defeated with "Love"


Ok, just some pure speculation to bump the topic. Just the way you have the lance in your possesion when starting the fight reminds me of the possibility that you have to weaken him with a weapon that is related to him. Similar to Bucaneer's Knife thingy in sky.
Could also think of means of "impressing" AV with Love Halberd DRG using WS similar to the Animated Weapons in Xarc.
I havent read all of this, so my pardons if ^ had been discussed before.

I've often thought if there was something positional related to AV's AI. Such that the severity of its murderous rampage would be lessed if it remained close to its spawn point AND JoL's spawn point. Such as, before killing JoL drag it back to nearly the spot that it spawned from; though will have to deal with the local aerns.

Though i'm sure most are in the same "dont care" boat; Tune in Dec 2010 for lvl 99 vs AV!

People still cares about AV? The drops are too shitty in comparison to what exists today to even bother trying with this. Challenge or not people who still tries to solve this should be locked in somewhere. Except Virtuous saint, really stable guy in my opinion.
