    Back before French and German support was added, spell data was in its own special .DAT format that included a byte for the spell element. Meteor and Comet had the value 0F for this. Dark was 07 (the other elements were 00-06). But, it's always possible that bit 3 was used for some other flag, which would make the actual value 07 (dark). I'm also not completely convinced that Eagle Eye Shot isn't sometimes done as a TP move, because orc RNGs in Dynamis-San d'Oria 'ready' Eagle Eye Shot as well. What the significance of that might be, though, I don't know.

    I think that actually Meteor was listed as that unknown code while comet was actually listed as Dark? In either case, if I'm not wrong those are just for deciding the icon on the menu, and so wouldn't actually be reliable since they were never spells used by players (where it would need to be accurate). The balance of information demonstrates that Meteor is Dark-Element and Dark Magic.

    The only thing I could take from that link was that it may not have worked with manufactured weather. All I am sure of is that obis affect magic cast on you(and this was observed using day, not scholar spell).

    You'd have to be pretty stupid to discount pchan's testing on magic evasion and INT just based on 'he's pchan lolz'. It's fucking AV, with one single move that is making people lose the fight. Do it. Just do it.

    Well did anybody prove him flat out wrong in the thread for magi evasion? I didn't read every last post, but last I checked it came down to 'not enough sample size' and 'easier to just use an elemental resistance build'. You don't have to spell things properly to do math.

    It was discredited based on who posted it, but AFAIK it was never proved to be wrong.

    So yes every one just stuck to elemental resistance.

    No. It has been proven that adding 1 INT increases your magic accuracy under target's INT+10. This is old news, only retards keep denying it (read : last 5 posters)

    So....back on the gd subject...
    Alliance setup:
    Some sort of claim party consisting of tanks, reds, whites, etc.
    -2 Parties of the following:
    1x Cor
    1x Drg
    4x Pup

    with fully merited pups, ADDing, on a constant cycle, with dragoons roll, would this be enough dmg to trump his unclaimed regen?
    Also would this be even realistic, as normally hate dosent transfer through the pup to the master, but im unfamilar with the intrinsic's of AV.
    If for some reason this did have some form of sucess, i could see SE nerfing it.

    Sorry i read everything but it wasn't clear to me. If you lock Call Wyvern first then don't you, by association, lock Mijin/Familiar/Astral Flow? Because if you lock Call Wyvern and kill the wynavs he has no pets to call for those 2 hrs,right?


    Also I think in an interview the devs said there's no way to lock meteor that you'll just have to 'deal with it'.

    Yes you indirectly lock those, but if there is in fact another weakening effect with 15/15 2hrs locked, you wouldn't want to lock call wynav until you locked mijin AF and Familiar.

    You might not be able to lock meteor but if you can't at least weaken it, AV is essentially too difficult. You can kill it without locking or weakening the bracelets meteor but it would take an enormous amount of people. There is just absolutely no reason they gave it an MAB boost from bracelets, completely unnecessary buff which makes it go from very difficult to virtually impossible. AV would be really great if it wasn't given that boost to MAB... All I know is that I can assure you that the dev team did not kill AV if it was casting bracelets meteors on them for as much as it was to us. They either cheated or they weakened or locked it, period.

    Why do people think Meteor is dark based?

    Everything I've seen says it is light... including its weaker, player usable form Meteorite.
