brb posting parses where the WARs top all!
brb posting parses where the WARs top all!
Thanks for the parse. I was hoping for some logs though to perhaps shed some light on the damage reduction trait that AV has (which seems to increase as its HP lowers.)
*cough* Then there was the parse where the Perdu/Ares WAR won.
This was actually one of our worse/slower kills (and I think our 2nd kill). Since then we've fixed stuff a little and kill it in 85-90 seconds now.
Not gonna give full logs, but I'll give ya this, matches that parse:

My best guess is it gains ~50% -DT with bracelets. I think it was vastly over-exaggerated in the past and the small data/testing that was done wasn't very accurate. This pattern is similar in all of the logs, for all players.
I see. Well, it seems like a zerg at 75 would probably have been very reasonable then. I think many were under the impression that the damage reduction sort of 'grew' as AV's HP decreased, but this clearly refutes that idea.
Yea, I just posted over in media that I feel AV was killable with PD at 75, just much harder and would have taken 2 PDs. The biggest problem is that there's a long gap between Alex being summoned and PD actually hitting the party, and Alexander is sadly stunnable by Impact Stream and such. BUT, if you get a 2nd PD off (which we have, but not 100% of the time), yea, it was possible.
And ya, I know people were under that impression, but I've at least told people privately that seemed wrong since a week or 2 ago when we did our first "test" run. I may have posted it on BG too, I don't really recall anymore, heh.
one question to failure or anyone whos won. how many relics are being used? (just curious)
Hey, I did tonight.![]()
Word is there may be an AV attempt on Siren later this afternoon by one of the major HNM shells. Going to see if I can get an OK to videotape the fight.
Ok, just saw the first attempt here on Siren. Got down to 39% then AV bene > manafonted during the zerg. The strategy for the most part is sound, just need to lock the fuck over 2hrs ahead of time (bene, invincible, PD). They'll be trying again in around 2hrs from now with the needed tweeks. Setup for the first attempt was 2 DD parties, tank party, blm party, they'll likely be adding a 3rd DD party for the 2nd attempt.
edit: Relics used from what I saw
2x Amano
1x Excal
1x Yoichi
I love Kimiko
I'd laugh if they added Cor to AV's job list this coming update. So he can wild card all his locked 2hrs back.
People lock his 2 hrs?
Im not sure about resonance but war beats sam so bad in our attempts its pathetic.

Ok, as promised, the raw footage from the Inferus attempt over on Siren. On this attempt, again they get screwed by an early PD just as their zerg begins, then later on they got the Inv > Bene > Mijin combo with a Manafont meteor to finish it off.
As for attempting w/o 2hrs unlocked, it's a roll of the dice probability wise. Maybe under 50% chance of not getting one of the screw-overs. I believe though for groups without the massive firepower of an HNMLS (multiple relic/mythics), locking 2hrs ahead of time will be all but required for this method to win consistently. Given a reasonable kill time on JoL at around 30-45 minutes, that should be sufficient time to get at least the major 2hr's locked.
