Whether it is a resist trait or barailment wouldn't really make any difference anyway as the effect would be the same. It would completely skew the resist floor to such a degree that its likely nothing to do with locking/weakening meteor. Thats just based on the assumption that its not immune until you do something such as locking 2hrs, which seems like a safe assumption if people are reporting slow having landed during a drk zerg.
again topic completly derailed by something that is not going to get us any closer to beating AV, thanks guys.
I don't think anything can be added until some LS fight AV and post some findings. I dont believe resist equipment matter anyways, you can't have it full time on AV , your best bet is to wear iron ram for MDB and cap MDT from aegis, Dring and Shell V
Then explain the resist rate on suzaku with silence, its not anywhere close to 75% land rate with ES, let alone 95%+. By denying barailment you are agreeing some mobs possess resist traits and therefore the resist floor is altered or do you have some other reasoning better than saying its immune to slow when people who've actually fought it say otherwise.
honest question here, what will resist rate going to do in contributing to AV fight? are we going to rely on low probabilities of landing slow as the key to win AV? if anything a mod should rename the thread to " Magic resist ".
think their point is they assumed AV immune to all these debuffs, yet there is apparently cases of it landing
This thread is not about Suzaku. Don't ruin the thread by posting more BS.
The argument they are having is completely irrelevant. What is of consequence is if AV is initially immune or incredibly resistant to slow, but something makes him susceptible, we need to figure out what the trigger is. If that does happen to be the case, then we can wonder if AV is initially immune or incredibly resistant to silence, is there a trigger to make him susceptible to silence? If so, profit.
On another note, if meteor is in fact dark magic, do fenrir and diabolos take no damage from it?
Are you sure that's not just the avatar's native damage reduction? In my experience, Fenrir and Diabolos take plenty of damage from dark-based attacks.
I know people have locked 14/15 2h's but has anyone locked all 15? If not, maybe after locking all 15 it will lock his meteor?
Also, is Meteor damage reduced like other magic depending on how many people it hits? (I dont think it is, but worth asking)
For the LSs that reached bracelet mode, how many meteor did you have to survive ?
We can handle meteors pre-bracelets mode just fine unless it drops 3 or more in a relatively short time period, or it casts 1 or 2 of them in conjunction with a bad 2hr (Meteor > Chainspell > Meteor). If he didn't get a MAB bonus with bracelets, I'm very confident we could defeat it as it is, and with the knowledge we currently have. As far as an exact number of meteors I couldn't give you one, but I would venture to say that somewhere around 8 is not unreasonable for us to have taken before dropping it to 59%. For ease though, I would recommend trying to lock 2hrs during the first 20%.
One main thing I wanted from starting this thread was to spread the information I had, and my original post in this thread had almost all of that information, I thought people would read it but ya... Your first question can be partially answered in that, and educate you on the fact that it has been thought of. The second question I really wish people would know by now, but ya just like any other it caps at 10.
