Somewhere, someone is trying to hate me to death for my crusade of trying to convince everyone that AV is defeatable.

I watched that apathy AV video and the only smart person to dodge the meteors was the galka bard. If the rest got hit by it, then that was their fault, he told them to back up 5 seconds before the meteor went off.
I doubt he can cast the same meteor spell back to back on bracelets mode, so they need to wait for the meteor then start nuking and doing skillchains for a bit then hold back again till the next meteor.

SE had 4 tanks for a reason... start idling in dark resist. You got sentinel and aegis shield for a reason, because your body peice might be replaced with a dark resist armor instead of something more defensive.
PLD and RDM have cure 4 and they have protect 4, they can buff themselves.
I know it sounds hard, but I think they should idle till the 1st meteor lands, then swap gear for nomore then 5 mins, then idle again till the next meteor, then swap to their standard tanking gear for 3-5mins again, then idle in dark resist again. The only people that should get waxed during meteor is the DD's that are trying to TA onto the tanks or a blm casting a very long spell like freeze 2 or ga 3 and getting smacked by a meteor before he can pull back.

If you reported him doing the same spell back to back under bracelets mode then what I typed is irrevelant. I know he can do the same spell on chainspell and manafont but I am only talking about bracelet mode meteor, can it be casted twice in a row?

Would be cool if trick attacked Tachi: gekko's would have their silence land on AV, but I am very sure that it cannot. (for ppl without SAM75, tachi gekko has additional effect of silence, which doesn't have any shit effect on AV or it will probably would of been discovered)

Besides... SINUS is a BEAST.. if he doesn't drop or you don't lose all of your tanks, then meteor won't put you out of action. blms can do some nukes single weakened until they unweaken and DDs can still TA WS and SC for some damage. It was until sinus FINALLY died that your alliance went to shit. I say finally, cause he was eating comets, tornado 2's without shadows and multiple meteors as well as medusa javelins and he refused to die.
PW fight was no different, blue mages kept getting up and fighting weakened.. you have to keep the Damage over time on AV to make it to the alotted 1 hr limit. (assuming SE's intention was for JOL to be 1 hour and AV to be 1 hour)
Try not to think so hard. You have no idea how Meteor works clearly. Tanks all take 1100-1300 damage from the Meteor alone, and that is when at least 10 people are hit by the spell. I really am just about to stop commenting tho; clearly there are people who have reading comprehension issues, and who can't watch a video and ascertain how difficult the situation is. You need to drill this thought into your head tho: Tanks cannot be healed effectively without mages, and mages cannot survive Meteor thus no one survives (also keep in mind tanks take 1100-1300 then get hit for 500-600 damage^^).

i suggest using party of healers to start healing AFTER bracelets meteor cuz they arent affected (no hate yet), tho they are not dead and they can heal >,>

and hope you defeat it so SE dont have anything more to nerf in you or overpower in AV ...

Interesting ideas can stem from this approach. Has anyone toyed with the idea of making or breaking alliances to see if there is any effect on the mechanics of AV?

Hits everyone, regardless of whether or not you're in party, correct?

If damage is split up among members, maybe once AV enters hate mode have like an entire alliance of whms/rdms/blms/damagesoakingjobs standing by to soak up damage via hate.

Simply have them rotate into the party throughout the fight building up enough hate to be on the list for them to get hit, rotate out.

I dont even know though if meteor goes outside of alliance to others on hate list, and if it is or is not spread up like an AoE spell, as its been bantered back and forth whether it is.

However, if it DOES go outside alliance and IS split up, would having a large second group simply there for soaking damage work? If they could cut the damage down at least another 1/3 if they all had stoneskin and etc up, and being healer, could maybe have just enough time t oreapply stoneskin and heal back up for the next meteor?

Or does he just cast it too damn fast?

I thought meteor hit everyone in the area whether on the hate list or not. May very well be mistaken though.

This humorous (I hope) post reminded me of something. Does anyone know if there is or has there been a forum post compiling all of the theories and attempts that have been tried and failed?

In the first video they're 2-3 minutes apart. In the 2nd video he spams them like crazy. Seems to be random and in general too frequent to avoid by "only running in after meteor".

No I meant having the people there entirely to soak up damage, think 10,000 needles style. That is if meteor is split up among the receivers, I dunno.

I was wondering if casters being there to soak up damage, maybe a smn or two poping titan to give out stoneskinga and etc, would have enough time between the meteors to heal back up before the next one and recover.

think an entire extra alliance of stoneskin mages added to the hate list for meteor soaking up damage. I don't know if this would stil lmake it survivable yet or if even with that the spell will wipe you out.

I believe there is bracelets and non bracelets meteor so which one are you referring to?
I copied some of the info from this thread's opening post.
Bolded some time related meteor info but it looks to me as if it also might be important to consider whether delay between casts is effected by whether it is a bracelets/manafont/non bracelets/non manafont meteor.

The only thing that needs to happen in order to kill effectively is the locking or weakening of bracelets meteor.

Sorry in advance as my comment doesn't really contribute to a strategy, but I noticed something in SE's video. One of the Whms in the video appears to be wearing a Yagrush... I can't tell for sure, but I don't know of any other gold colored ping pong paddles that Whms can equip. Screenshot below:

    http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...AVYagrush2.jpg

The reason I bring it up is because, as far as I know, when this video was released, the stats for the mythic weapons weren't released to the public yet, so if this is indeed a Yagrush, for all we know, it could be God-modded with Awesome+100 or something.

The resolution of the pic is pretty shitty, I'll try to find a better quality video and retake the screen capture.

(This is from the NA video by the way)

    Edit: Better picture

Thats definitly not a yagrush, yagrush has a lot of gems embedded in it, green and purple.

Looks like one of the wand dats, chestnut I think. Which means its probably hermits wand or hermits +1 or whatever its called.
