Sry i don't those are from ages ago before we started saving the chat logs, we also noticed in one of our earlier attempts that AV would bounce back and forth between a calm slow/weak attacking mode for almost 5min and then snap back into normal assrape mode and we have no idea what caused it. But that was all before the 2hr nerf.

Well that could just be coincidence with weak/calm AV. If you are nuking heavily trying to lock regen you will notice a HUGE increase in WSs, may be one thing which makes someone believe it is calm/weak at times. Based on all times I have fought AV tho, it's spells and 2hrs are just based on a timer which will constantly go unless you lock them specifically. The only things you can affect directly without locking are WSs, and like I said above, you will see a ridiculous increase when you are feeding it that much TP (10TP per nuke that deals dmg).
I cant say for certain anything, but one thing i can say is Narse isn't just stringing you along to keep you reading. Last nights AV was more for testing rather then a serious attempt at killing and he found something that has to have some more testing done to say anything for certain.
If narse doesn't mind im more then willing to help test something today, would have more then enough on my ls today to do so.
I think the main thing to remember about AV is that it is the CoP boss. In CoP dynamis' the bosses have to be weakened in order to kill them effectively. You do this obviously by locking abilities/DEF/elemental weaknesses/2hrs etc., and obviously AV was designed with the exact same ideology, just without the outside NMs aspect. Most likely, everything you need to do to weaken/lock AV is in JoL and AV only, and that obviously includes pets.
AV is seemingly impossible with bracelets Meteor just as the CoP bosses are seemingly impossible (not so much due to ability to zerg) without locking/weakening them. I just cannot accept that AV is capable of casting Meteor for that much damage at random, it is just not plausible to kill even with the best geared/skilled LSs in the game. I know for a fact the SE dev team did not take Meteors for that much damage and survive to kill it. Imo there absolutely has to be more ways of weakening/locking AV.
Oh I'm not saying you don't know AV well, I'm just saying personally I've never observed this so maybe it was just a mistake. On the other hand you could have easily done something to weaken other things about AV no one knew could be weakened or locked, as I kinda say in my last post.
This is all obvious though, hasn't this been the train of thought since it was realized that meteor will get progressively stronger at key %'s. Honestly what your saying seems to bring the aern's near JoL theory back into play and the fact that all 15 jobs are represented among the aerns relatively near the AV/JoL area. Also just a quick question, how many other mobs are there in the game similar to the aerns at JoL spawn where there are 5 unique ID's for the aerns but only 3 can be up at once.

A shit load of aerns in sea, and ya that has been the train of thought, I just have to give the people who think Meteor is just Meteor a new perspective. Also as clearly stated, no I don't believe other mobs can affect AV because those can be controlled by outsiders, not fighting your AV. I said.... the only real difference is that CoP dynamis bosses rely on other NMs, and that is obviously because it is in dynamis and it makes sense, and it is a good idea. AV's weakness rely on JoL and AV himself because they are not in an instanced area, so outsiders would be an obstacle in the way a lot.
