Sry i don't those are from ages ago before we started saving the chat logs, we also noticed in one of our earlier attempts that AV would bounce back and forth between a calm slow/weak attacking mode for almost 5min and then snap back into normal assrape mode and we have no idea what caused it. But that was all before the 2hr nerf.

He was hitting the pld for half the damage and swinging *MELEE* hits at a slow/elegy speed not ws's. I understand what you are saying please don't assume that i am not familiar with AV.

even the animation rate was in slowmotion
did it cast during that time period? for some reason I cant remember seeing it cast during that, was awhile ago that I saw that though, my memory might be fuzzy

It didn't cast just sat there swinging mindlessly like it was broken or bored.

We've never seen it attack in a "slow motion" but we have seen AV go into a weaker melee mode. No idea what caused it either, just seems to phase in and out.

Aegis blocks would diminish dmg down to like 30~50 or so. Regular hits were like 130? Or so, I believe. Just citing from memory here.

once that had finished it was about an ~8 second delay between those attacks
that 'mode' lasted at least 3minutes+
and like I said before, I don't recall it casting anything during that time period

might have just been a glitch, seems a lil weird, I wasn't the only person that saw it either

I've had this happen on Gigas in qufim island very occasionally, never a replicatable effect, just a few times in all my time playing ffxi I'd get one gigas after killing several that attack incredibly slow in animation and attack rate, whether it's intended for AV or you're just hitting that glitch, idk

So VS are you going to take the sch opportunity? Take it from me it is too good of a opportunity to pass up. And even if AV doesn't fall post the attempt or strat and a kill will likely come shortly thereafter. At least a go at it before anyone capable of helping quit the forum/game (and it seems inevitably close).

I do appreciate the thread but I just feel this will all be for not if someone doesn't make a attempt soon, shit I'll transfer/reactivate a character I just have use of (Aegis, Ghorn)- everyone just quit caring

I don't really understand the great interest in the sch burn, would pretty much just put us back at square 1 with a possibly completely changed AV that would have to be completely retested. So what if you have a horde of AV pops and are able to somehow kill them all before a patch? 1-2 linkshells most likely 1 will pull it off and have the glory of something that works on paper but is hard to enact due to human error and lack of competent peoples with required jobs. It wouldn't be some glorious F U to SE it would just be a theory proven or disproven and swiftly nullified in the same week. And all this would accomplish is to push people away from trying other idea's on AV like it did shortly after the soul eater nerf. And fyi, yes some ls's still try.

I don't know; selling multiple items for 60milish or more sounds damn tempting in a game such as FFXI. Such is especially the case when you consider that it's entirely possible to move on without being AV the normal way. If you aren't going to beat AV the right way, why not at least pick up a relic or two before leaving FFXI like the cool kids?!
