SE did lock other 2hrs previous to call wyvern. I think chainspell and soul voice (from the vid) and maybe more since days went past. kiting wyvern theory would only be valid if AV has a specific order of 2 hours or if you locked all other non-pet nasty ones. Meteor had no clue given, so maybe you just have to accept it. SE took many hours so who knows what they went through.
Hammer of Bo![]()
what is this, i dont even
why is watching 2 retarded people hit it off so hilarious?
EDIT: Screw it, keep going, it's at least entertaining.
factual evidence that could not really be relicated until a 3rd party app was used. Now some are having some success now...
But to be fair to the people who are critical of rehashing old ideas... you need to be pretty fast with your two hour to pull this off. and if youre the only job of that type there... then messed up... your pretty much screwed unless someone job changes.
This was tested, and tested, and tested.. and no, it did not work until Onevent was used. Now, without Onevent... it is extremely difficult. You would need to have toyed with AV for a considerable amount of time to notice any pattern which could help you to lock a two hour. Most of the people posting in this thread have not sunk that amount of effort into this enemy.
Furthermore, Lets say that we were able to get it to work before Onevent. And we probably did lock a couple two hours, by accident. We were under the impression that matching the two hour would result in AV not using the locked two hour. We did not know that the two hour currently being locked would still play out, then never be used again. We did not know this until all of AV's two hours were locked up tight with Onevent. And, honestly, how could we have known that what we were doing was correct when you need to lock almost all of its two hours to notice this effect taking place?
So, saying that people should not be critical of rehashing old ideas is not fair to the people who did the testing. A prime example would be locking its two hours.
There is a reason why it took until, lets say, the 11th time to get this to work. So stop using the two hour lock example as a reason to justify really dumb... overly redundant... unclear tests with neither a measurable result or a noticable conclusion.
You should just concede that point to him since based on the community's ideas, it was quite clear that until you posted this thread, the ability to lock AV's 2hrs was an unconfirmed idea to many. To the extent that we understood such mechanism, we went further to test other locking mechanisms such as using the 2hr while wearing torques and such. That suggests there was underwhelming comprehension of how to lock AV's 2hrs. The problem we face now, however, is that there has been no occurrences involving a diminished meteor. That is, the 2hr locking is something that was experienced, and hence, is a reasonable goal to strive towards. On the other hand, we have yet to witness a means of countering meteor's damage (Whether by apparently luck or strategy). Thus, it's quite possible to doubt the very existence of a means of handling meteor beyond tactical set-up (For a lack of better terms).
Just so we're clear, the first portion addresses VS and the rest addresses the trolls/theorists/other randoms people.
Something to keep in mind after the update, Fenrir's aura given by smn's is supposed to give a given amount of magic evasion. I may be incorrect, but upon reading through this whole thread at one point or another, dark resist builds were used to success, but at a low rate. Perhaps this new mag. eva+ could give the edge needed to successfully resist meteor? Something to keep in mind for other resist build situations at any rate (Tiamat, low man Saramaya).
Has anyone tested if matching a random 2 hr (say use manafont when av chainspells etc) with av does anything. In SE's video they used multiple different 2 hours when av would use 1 two hour. Just wondering if anyone has tryed to test this theroy. its prolly nothing thats gonna work, but its just an idea.
Not gonna trudge through 50 pages of stuff yet.
Has anyone tried the sch burn yet? >_>;
Just a yeah/no and if so a general page area to look for the results is fine enough.
nope urat.. no info in this thread on any actual kills. Just lots of speculation.
Ill add my bit of speculation now
I wonder if anybody has killed AV and just kept the info quiet.. maybe farm up a bunch of items then sell all at once .... just a thought.
Not really something you can keep quiet with the whole title issue, we've had a few ss's of people with the title come up from time to time and everyone can name when they did it. I can't remember on PW if Apathy posted or someone else, but within the hour everyone knew.
