Firefight only lags if you or someone your playing with has a shitty internet connection.

Yeah, after playing this game for awhile Firefight is the only redeeming quality in my opinion. The campaign is so stupid and campy it's hard to tell whether or not it was made as a joke and put out for $60 to see if people would buy it. The characters models look like they came from a PS2 or Xbox.

All that being said, Firefight is very very fun mode to play, and rarely do I find a game that I spend as much time on a specific mode as I have this one. Firefight alone would be worth purchase if it was only $30 with more maps or just DLC.

Besides Firefight, I found this game to be extraordinarily disappointing.

And about the BR, they do give you a Carbine, which is like the exact same weapon but you have to be a bit better at aiming (maybe little less dmg....like it matters when you're shooting a Grunt in the face)

Wow, people weren't kidding when they say it's short. I never bought any of the map packs for multiplayer so I don't feel too ripped off.

Played a little birlt of firefight but I'm assuming that it's better with more people.

So does anyone wanna get together to do the firefight 200k achievements? They're the only ones I need for 1000 Gamerscore in ODST and all my rl friends are already bored of ODST :/

Go to Bungie's Classified forums and put up a thread about wanting to do the 200K firefight achievments. I did that and got all of them knocked out in one night. I'd just pick a level I needed, make a thread saying hey i'm doing this level, if you want in, add gamertag: kelvysaur, and in about 10 minutes I had 3 other people ready and willing to go. Kinda funny getting like 10 friend requests during the whole first set of the match though lol.

Would any BGers be willing to Firefight for the purpose of setting a personal high score?

I know the Classifieds is a good place for the 200k achievements, but most of the people I've hooked up with from there aren't that good. They're generally good enough to get 200k (which is pretty simple imo) but not the material I'd want in order to set a somewhat impressive high score. For example, SMG spray to take down Brute shields (I know it works well on Normal without Tilt) or the inability to jump over a charging Brute Chieftain--that's the type of play I know you can't have later on in Firefight.

I think I'm pretty good at Firefight, and I'm sure some people here are better than me. But to give a ballpark figure, I'd like to get up around 2.5M-3M points. Depending on the map and Heroic difficulty at least, that would happen around the 8th set. This will be around 3-4 hours, I'm sure, so I'm looking for people willing and able to grind out a serious FF round. Ideally, I'd like to do this on Legendary, but I imagine we would have to play a few together on Heroic before we felt comfortable. The points would add up a lot more quickly on Legendary, but you really have to work well together.

Anyway, this is clearly something to be explicitly planned and scheduled. If it sounds interesting to anyone here, add GT: supafrench and let me know either on XBL or here in this thread or PM. We'll work to find a time when we have at least 4 hours to play.
