I haven't had turtle soup in awhile, but it is by far one of the best soups I ever had.

EDIT: Just watched the video, we never ate giant sea turtles ;_;

they were much smaller than that. I think snapping turtles.

To be fair who are we to tell someone to not kill what sustains them? Something is always taboo to someone.

We don't think twice about slaughtering cows or half eating a bacon cheeseburger before we discard it. Im sure some in India look upon us with the same eyes. Bringing morals into it is opening a whole can or worms that you don't want to open. Many people see religious folks as savages, although I am inclined to agree who am I to change it? Its a live and let live world. Think of all the innocent minds....

But anyway think about how China, Taiwan and Japan openly hunt and eat turtle as well as Whale and its basically the same for most Scandinavian countries. How can you tell someone that has been killing Dolphins and Humpback whales since the days of Vikings that they cant do it anymore because "ITZ NT RITE!". Again, one mans taboo is another's way of life.

You do realize that sea turtles are critically endangered and caught from the wild, right? As opposed to cows which are farmed and common as shit.

They're not eating it for sustenance. It's a tribal tradition/delicacy. They have plenty of other food which isn't in danger of being completely wiped out in the wild.

Is what I was referring to, If you have ever seen the video is is gruesome. I love marine mammals and this sucks but they have been doing this longer than the US has been a country so who the hell are we to tell people what to do?

Again, I understand your POV completely. I have a pet turtle and have had them my entire life seeing as how I grew up with a 2 acre lake for a backyard. I understand but you have to put feelings to the side and not take shit personal. Shit sucks, but them niggas got to eat too.
