I dont think the happy cows of California mind being eaten. To die for our burgers is the greatest honor a cow can obtain. That and cheese, I F'in love cheese.

Graphic as fuck but I found the video, well mere clips but you get the gist of it. Who the fuck is anyone to tell them to stop something they do as FOOD and have been doing for thousands of years?
MOAR DEATH
YouTube - Denmark Massacre Dolphins
Eye of the beholder. As grotesque as that is they do it for food and have for thousands of years. I saw that shit on Nat Geo over the summer and shat brackz.
What part of "endangered" is so difficult to comprehend? I'm not talking about PETA's animal feelings bullshit. Meat is fucking tasty. There's absolutely no reason other than mindless tradition and mysticism for them to be killing an animal on the verge of extinction, though. They're not lacking food.
Pilot whales and dolphins aren't in immediate danger of extinction. I don't agree with eating intelligent animals, but they're within their rights to do so. I'll laugh at their mercury poisoning deaths, though:

For instance, everyone FFXI players country openly hunt, dices and serves up Whale. We have even found meat of the largest mammal on the planet, the Blue Whale, in Japanese restaurants. Again, I could go on forever but different countries have rules for what is acceptable and not acceptable.

Troll NA ok? ww
So as bad as the turtle thing sucks I mean there isn't much you can do to quell that sort of thing. Pacific islanders do the exact same thing. Apparently the turtle video was shot off of an island north of Australia and most island inhabitants like strictly off the land and the sea.
I don't doubt it, but there is a lot of bullshit out there about lots of things.
Semantics.
No but seriously I was wondering the same thing. Ill comprehend when you stop playing Captain Planet and trying to spear head this "kill the savages" crusade you seem to be hell bent on getting off the ground.
They were hungry and ate it, end of story. Id do the same shit and so would you.
The seal hunt hits closer to home then most, and has been a big issue in Canada since PETA convinced the EU to ban seal products for no other reason then baby seals are cute.
What if God told them to eat it? Some would argue that God > ESA.
I mean it us survival of the fittest and apparently he lost.
do you really think they couldn't find some food that was critically endangered and at risk for being wiped off of the face of the earth completely?
and if they can't, well, boy are they in for a bright future once the sea turtles are gone.
it's one thing to kill a cute/smart/adorable/whatever animal that there are plenty of. people may not like it, but it is what it is. people may think eating dogs and cats is disgusting, but it's not going to wipe them off the face of the earth. but it's another thing entirely to kill animals that are almost extinct. if cows were almost extinct, I'd say we shouldn't eat them. but they aren't. they're doing just fine.
He chose poorly.
Kerberoz you realize how flimsy your whole fucking argument is? Eating turtles isn't okay because they are critically endangered but eating beef is okay because you raise cows on a farm and they aren't endangered. Why is eating an endangered animal worse than eating a factory farmed animal? The environmental impact from the factory farm system in the US is at least as bad if not probably worse than killing off any 1 endangered species. So either man up and stop eating your tasty non-grass feed cheeseburgers and decry these guys for practicing their culture or let them do what they want and you what you want and we can all enjoy making the Earth uninhabitable for ourselves over the next hundred years.

You're not even reading or bothering to understand.
If I was starving, of course. I'm not saying the lives of turtles should come before people. I'm saying that preserving the species should come before bullshit tradition. These people are not starving. They have plenty of other food. It's a delicacy, not sustenance.Id do the same shit and so would you.
Actually I am, you're just being far too serious. I decided that seeing as how you have selective reading and ignoring the fact that I said I agreed with you no less than 3 times that this conversation was going nowhere.
I am being purely facetious at this point. I mean how can I make that more obvious?
Shit sucks. Nothing you or I can do about it.
You must really like beef.
