I'd assume you've never stayed in the hospital that often. For years they thought I just had ulcers but recently diagnosed me with Crohn's. The bills run up fast, it was $50,000 a week a few years back and I stayed for a few weeks.
Plus the whole, $1000 a month thing going on now that I can do nothing but ignore. Sadly that is shit my insurance won't do shit about.
Let's see. I went to the walk in clinic a week ago for my ear, the hospital about 6 months ago for this, the emergency room when I was 15 when I busted my head open and needed stiches in 2 places on my head (I'm 21 now). Before that, the last time I've been to a doctor was a physical in like middle school.
Nope I don't have one.
It makes me wonder some times how much of the movie Sicko my Michael Moore is actually real.
But if he wasn't so biased...
OK now I know your just trolling lol.
Whats pissin me off is these fgts aren't even calling me directly. They're calling me w/ a voice recording, directing me to call another number to talk to them.
say that to my face and whatnot
They did that too me for two years over $40...
It's fucking retarded, I called *once* after being so frustrated of them calling consistently between 6am-9am when i'm sleeping, and they asked for my name birthday and SS number. I told them I'm not a fucking idiot and don't give that information to strangers over the phone "Sorry, we can't help you then"...well ain't that fucking swell. Only a moron would give out that information freely and they require you to be a moron to even tell you why the fuck they're calling.
The only reason I ever figured out what it was about was a post like this where someone else had the same thing happen.
Edit: Oh, and I never paid it, never showed up on my report, and stopped seeing that doctor.
Yea I called them today. I was like you guys keep calling my number asking for someone I've never heard of. They were like "Do you know a mr Freeman?" I was like "nope, never heard of him, but I've only had this number for less than a week" "Ok, we'll take you off our calling list."
That was today, so let's see what happens.
If they call again, tell them you're dead.
Had teeth work done a few months ago. I don't have health insurance but as far as NYC is concerned, they have programs that help people pay according to how much they make a month.
I told them I only make like $200 a month which was half true at the time since I needed what little money I could scrounge up but couldn't really put in the time. Paid the initial bill but not the doctor's bill that they sent me like 3 weeks after the operation for like 3 months.
I went to the hospital in person a few weeks ago because the city can't do shit right unless you're on their ass about whatever your problem is and got like half my bill shaved off because the guy taking care of it was like this shit's too much money, I'm not gonna let you pay this much. Went to his supervisor to approve it and went to pay it off. He told me to keep the receipt just in case (common sense).
If you have the means to pay it off, or you intend to pay it off, work out something so they can make it affordable for you. I'm sure my credit right now isn't that great but at the same time, I'm not gonna let it go to complete shit either.
Oh the guy is a fuckin crook. I have 0 intent of paying him shit. The guy was absolutely no help and my pain proceeded after leaving w/o as much as a prescription.
As for exactly what it was, my friend nicknamed them Valgaches. When he saw me scrounged up on the floor he was like describe the pain and I said "It feels like Valgas just punched me in the stomach"
