When you go against a good mage/rogue team, even if you could heal(which you can't because of polymorph and counterspell) it doesn't matter because you don't have any time to heal. It's not like mage/rogue does 8K damage a second killing somebody over the course of a few seconds, what actually happens is they kill somebody in one instant. You will literally just fucking drop. A frostbolt/ice lance combo will do about 15K damage and since it's cast followed by instant, it hits all at once.

This is what I do with blast/barrage. They go off at an instant, if PoM is up throw another 2 instants on that and you're just buttfucking someone.

I could absolutely, without question, see the benefit of frost mage in 2s though, but that's not really what I'm talking about here.

Pull out pet.
Target your unstealthed Rogue.
Start casting Frost Bolt.
Bring up Freeze AoE Pattern.
At 80% cast trigger Pet Freeze.
Mash Deep Freeze over and over so it is instant cast after Fbolt leaves your hand.
Cast Fbolt again. (Target is now in Deep Freeze)
Mash Ice Lance so it's instant after Fbolt.
Imp CS or Fblast depending on health left.

Almost all of those dmg spell will be crit along with your pets water bolts.

Also all of that takes roughly 3 seconds from when you first trigger your pet freeze on target.

I know, I'm not dumb, Day. I just don't like it was much as I like Arcane. I'm not saying frost is bad, in fact, I'm agreeing its pretty ballin'. I actually use frost about as much as I do arcane. I tend to do far better with one than the other though. It just doesn't fit my play style or what I'm use too. I can do it just fine though.

2s was just an example, SK arena shows the statistics of the top 100 teams on each realm. 33% of the top 100 3s teams are mut rogue/frost mage/disc priest. That's how good it is, 33% of the best teams.

In 5s, I know the #1 team on several battlegroups was frost mage/shadow priest/elemental shaman/destruction warlock/holy paladin
