Sorry for the dumb question.

Not a dumb question, yeah that's it. Make sure not to spend over $30, as many places are still trying to sell it for full price.
Sweet thanks. I'll be getting this tommorow and hopefully have it beat by time 2 comes out.
Has the firmware 3.0 crash on it been fixed yet?
No official updates yet, so I would presume no.
Haha, shit I forgot about that. Yeah don't judge the game just yet...since it crashes.
I just love how when I was finally going to grab the game (after waiting ages for it to become a Greatest Hits. Thanks Sony for delaying that to not devalue that one PS3-bundle), I end up not picking it up thanks to busted firmware, woohoo!
Any word if it's something Sony needs to fix with the firmware (since it's presumably their fault for compatibility issues), or something Naughty Dog has to address themself? (perhaps they were working some magic voodoo no other reported games have used also)
[EDIT] Looks like I just jumped aboard and picked up the game knowing I'll have to wait a week or two before it'll actually be playable again. Don't let me down Naughty Dog.
Quick question I guess while I'm unable to play this: Is there a way to revisit previous locations to search for lost treasure, or know how much is left per area? I'm a trophy whore and would prefer to get the collect-a-thon trophies out of the way on my first playthrough.
i just got the demo for this. either the controls are shitty or i'm doing it wrong. if i'm taking cover, is there a way to auto-aim? so far, i can only get auto-aim by running close to someone and shooting, but then i'm not covered and die.
You can shoot blindly behind cover by pressing R1 (will hit once in awhile, but it's a waste of ammo for the most part), or while still holding cover, hold down L1 to aim about and fire, and let go of L1 to retreat to cover. As for a true 'auto-aim', from my play time in the game, there isn't one. The game encourages precision firing, unlike 90% of console games out there.
Not very far in the game myself, just played it for a couple hours until it locked up and decided to call it until that's fixed.
anyone know a place that's selling this for less than 20 bucks? I've hunted around a lot and seen $29.99, but I'm sure it'll go down to 20 eventually and uh... I'm a cheap bastard >_>
yea, i have been pressing L1 for manual aiming. i really don't like it, it takes too long to move the crosshairs onto a target.
Is the 3.0 FW the cause of the lockups in this game? Or is it the slim-model specifically, independent of the FW version? Reason I ask is that I bought a slim at launch, but have not yet upgraded to the new 3.0 FW. I grabbed this game last night, but haven't yet started playing it. Should I expect to run into the lockups and simply wait for an update, or be completely fine since I'm on the FW version that shipped with the slim?
I had to crank the control sensitivity before it moved to a speed I liked.
As far as I've heard and experienced myself, lock-ups are due to 3.0 itself, regardless of your PS3 model/ (I'm sporting an 80gb MGS4 model PS3 here, for reference, and it locked up on me.)
If you haven't updated to 3.0, you should play it, but only if the game prompts you to update it. I cannot remember if you have to be signed into PSN to receive game updates, but the update for Uncharted (v1.10) adds in Trophy support, which is somewhat important if you plan to go after them as last I checked, you had to clear existing game data for trophies to unlock, meaning a fresh start on the game completely.
eh, not really :<
I'm stuck
Spoiler: show
Have they patched the problem 3.1 is giving this game? I really want to finish it now because of 2 coming soon.
Well never mind the above I figured it out myself but instead having troubles with the last boss. The shotgun part is easy but I'm having problems with the M4 part shit's making me rage
Take out all the minions, don't even worry about the boss. You fight him 1 on 1 later. Just be patient and pay attention to the pattern of his shots, 4th one is always dead on if you're not hiding behind something. Also, the minions come in at a set pattern, so if you get that memorized you can get the jump on one or 2 of them.
