PS3 FW3.01 just came out. No idea if it fixes our little problem with this game, but I'll be seeing for myself soon enough.

Well ain't that vague. Uncharted was included though according to a mod post later on in said blog. Been playing it the last hour without a problem so far.

Neeeeeeeeeeeeeecrobump just to say goddamn This game is insanely difficult on Crushing. I feel kinda bad for using cheap tactics in the gun fights, but I stand absolutely no chance if I don't. Only on chapter 5. Water temple room is going to be a bitch.

Water temple room was the worst part of the game for me.

one of the uncharted's had a gltich where you could enable weapon switching and cheats on crushing, but I think it may have been the 2nd one

I briefly read on some glitch where you can apparently get all the enemies to show up before you drop into the water room, but I didn't look into it too much yet.

and yeah, weapon glitch is Uncharted 2.

The trick is basically that gunfire comes from the crosshair, not Drake. What this allows you to do is face the corner of the wall (don't hug against it), sight up to the side that's in your favor (love third-person games where you can swap the angle you focus in at) , and then peek pass the corner with the crosshair while you're still behind the wall, and you can pick off any targets in view without being hit, and their AI doesn't really react to your crosshair hovering over them either (since they mindread on Crushing) while you're hidden. I abused the shit out of that, works in Uncharted 2 also.

Water room:
Don't drop into the room. Just hang off the ledge, then pick yourself back up and run to the outside area with the jeep. Go back to the water room and the enemies have spawned.

Ugh, while I never played the first Uncharted, the overturned boxcar section in Uncharted 2 was complete hell on crushing. It seemed that wherever you hid inside the train you would still get shot and if you tried to get out you'd get immediately killed by a sniper. The boss at the front of the train sucked too.

I didn't have a problem with the water room (I'm assuming this is the room after the long waterway with the gunner at the end), but Crushing in Uncharted is way harder for me than Crushing in Uncharted 2. Not looking forward to the creepy dudes at the end.

Monster guys near the end are way easier than all the other guys before that. Just run around in circles and they can't hit you.

That area scared the shit out of me the first time I tried playing it on a friend's PS3 (atmosphere just utterly got me.) When I got mine and played it some 2 years later it was just... mildly creepy but easily played through.

woo platinumed Uncharted 1. Difficulty curve just dives down into laughable the farther into the game you get. I swear, chapter 4-5 are the hardest in the game.
Now I suppose it's time I buy Uncharted 2.
