Make your own fucking mule and walk that lvl 1 to rolanberry and then delete it after u check bazaars and keep doing this until u find a good server to buy currency.
Stop asking other servers for their currency prices because they will not tell you as a lot of people on all servers are trying to finish relics and dont want you fagging up the server they are on.

Also some guy came to sylph and started shouting 17k o pieces.

edit for useful info: Go look on ffxiah and check peoples bazzaar prices its more helpful then the wanted prices sometimes, and use the relic section to find out how many relics a server has if they have a shit ton then u prolly wont have much luck, if they have really few relics then your chances are good unless you end up on a heavy japanese server that doesnt report their relics.

tired of people not realizing they aren't the only person trying to do the same exact thing and that no one cares about their relic except for them and their linkshell

The upgrades are pocket change to a lot of people on here and in the case of things like THF hands, RDM and BLM hat they a hell of a status symbol.

I buy in bulk on Unicorn for 2.8k (sometimes get 2.7k). I buy off friends for 2k and any time I see alex in a bazaar running around in town for 3k I offer them 2k for the lot.

And yes, sometimes they take the deal

If I ever shout, I don't name a price. I just let them tell me what they have and then I haggle them down.

AF2+1 wasnt blessed how AF1+1 was. Majority of the AF2+1 is epic fucking garbage, compare and contrast yourself if you don't believe me. Next to none if it warrants the ~400k pricetag to upgrade.

So far I've collected Sorc. Petasos+1 and Asn. Armlets+1 - Nothing spectacular. But it's a white box and not everyone has 'em. So in that respect, kinda neat. Working on D. Chap+1. Been thwarted on BLM Hands and Legs a few times. But anyway, we worked out a system in our shell (Fellowship) that you can spend points for currency to upgrade, so the price tag isn't an issue. I know that's kinda moot to your point since not every shell does that, but eh. >_>

Prices seem to fluctuate based on who's selling. A lot of price gougers on the server..

From what I've seen (on average):

Bynes: 7-9k
Shells: 10-12k
Bronze: 13-15k

I've seen alex's going for around 2.5-3k

And yeah, there are a lot of pick up dynamis shouts. Everytime I go to whitegate I see someone shouting.
