Wait, so what game did Maya post pics of? And from a purely screenshot-reviewing perspective, Aion looks like WoW with immensely upgraded graphics, so why wouldn't it at least be >= WoW?

Also that FFXIV pics are just in the beginning stages I bet it will look a ton better when its ready to be released so it will blow Aion away.

Not that I'm siding with one game or the other(I really just don't care enough to do so), but you also need to take the track record of the company running FFXIV into account.

Because WoW has content, balance, and allows 3rd party programs.
I quit WoW a while back, but it is a good/solid game. IMO, Aion took the worst parts of WoW and incorporated them while leaving out what made WoW a decent game.

I'm sure some people may think that, but most these Aion fanboys quit WoW while vowing never to play it again, which is why they rage so hard when people call Aion a WoW clone, which it is.

the first i could see you highlighting, the second quote is true though. blizzard allows addons, aion doesn't even want me to use my gamepad!


i am only midly baffled by the aion rage. as i told severance before, most of it i think is people want something new, and aion is a fresh game with a nice look. i am not too sure of the staying power though, but only time will tell on that one.
