[Unicorn] LolBrogame LS looking for members

Lolbrogame is currently looking for members to add to its roster. Lolbrogame is a linkshell started by a group of ex-hardcore endgamers.

The leaders of the shell decided to start up a shell that can take a more laid back approach to endgame, have some fun, and make some gil in the process.

Lolbrogame is an event based linkshell. We do not currently camp any HNM's. Our main focus is Dynamis, Limbus, SCNM, ANNM and random fun events. Although a large number of our members participate in Salvage, we do it on linkshell free nights. Currently our free nights are Friday and Sunday.

We do not take a hardcore approach to the shell itself, but our main success is everyone playing to their potential when they do make it. We have been able to make great accomplishments with very few people because of this approach.

Nobody is expected to be at every event and every run, but a reasonable amount of attendance is expected. We allow our members to take a night off here and there and do other things in the game that they may want to do such as level a job or complete missions etc. Members who constantly take advantage of this freedom will be let go from the shell, but it is there free to use when you need to.

Our members make decent gil. Most of our events are centered around making gil while participating in the event. Example: we sell all currency from Dynamis and split the profit evenly amongst members who attended for that run. Amount per person for the purpose of this single post wll be kept private. The bank does not keep any gil. All gil is payed out as soon as possible, sometimes even before things sell.



We are currently looking for Mages to fill our ranks. Whm/Blm/Rdm/Brd/Cor and SCH.

But at any rate, if you're gonna make a LS with a retarded name like that, don't come to BG bitching when you get banned, you'll just be given a Darwin award with this thread's URL engraved into it and sent packing.

Paste the section of FFXI or Playonline ToS that the ls name violates. Unless you can provide that information to me, you are posting about personal opinion and not fact. SpecialTaskForce got in trouble because they were deemed as impersonating an SE agent or agency.

If someone can point out to me the portion of the terms of service that my LS name violates, i would be happy to hear it. If people would like to use sarcasm in regards to funny things like coupon codes for drops, i'd be happy to hear it. Thats why we named it that, cause its funny.

If you feel like creating stupid unneeded drama while all im trying to do is recruit, go over to killingifrit and post there.

I'm posting on here to recruit members for our LS, not to debate on whether or not my LS name is popular amongst the elitist, or whether the name violates terms of service.

Well at least I am. All that hard work you could lose getting banned over the name.
I hate quoting TOS before 9AM, makes me grumpy..
While I know you all are just being cute and not malicious with the name, other LS's and people told to watch out for brogame will and can confuse you for the company/website. Imagine a new player getting a brogame tell after or before seeing your LS.

Inappropriate Naming

Inappropriate character or Linkshell names are strictly prohibited. When found, players will be requested to change their name, with possible action taken on their account. In the case of inappropriate Linkshell names, the leader will be instructed to delete the Linkshell, in addition to possible action being taken against the owner of the Linkshell.
Any names which resemble the spelling or pronunciation of inappropriate expression are also prohibited.

When a name is reported, the GM at the time will make the final decision on whether the name is inappropriate. If a player encounters an inappropriate name, report the name to the GM staff by making a report from "Help Desk" -> "I want to report a violation of the PlayOnline Member Agreement" -> "Others."

The following examples fall under "Improper naming".

Discrimination or Slander of Ethnicity, Race, Religion, or Sex.

A character named with the purpose to discriminate or otherwise harass another player will not be tolerated and may result in action being taken against the offending account. This also includes groups that are affected by the discrimination/slander.

Profanity

Characters with antisocial or profane names are also prohibited. These are names that will make other players feel uncomfortable and lead to various problems that would cause a disruption of a player's gaming experience.

Names with Commercial, Religious, or Political Goals

Vana'diel has nothing to do with any form of advertisement or political activities in the real world. These actions are not considered appropriate and may cause a disruption to others who wish to enjoy the game.

Impersonation of Square Enix Staff

Character names of Square Enix employees are not permitted, as they are misleading and a source of confusion that leads to disruption of game play. Actions or comments that impersonate an employee of Square Enix will be severely punished.

As for the info, no problem and I am always subject to grumpiness in the morning, not your fault. It is always a good idea asking a GM because they are willing to give pointers on that kind of thing when people take the time to ask.

Unfortunately, most of the commentary against your choice in names is resulting from the post another shell made after their choice got them in trouble and they posted it up here and mass flaming ensued etc. It is probably still in the archives if you search for a STF linkshell name.
You seem to have a light sense of humor and that is helpful on here so don't take harsh posts too seriously or let it ruin your good attitude. I wish you all good luck in your recruiting.

LolBroGames is looking to find some more new members to fill our ranks out. We are an event based ls on the Unicorn server.

Most jobs are currently open. However, we are specifically looking for at least one more good THF that knows how to pull events like Dynamis, or is willing to learn. Also we are looking for a PLD to either be a main tank or a backup; and a BRD so we can give some of our other bards a break.

All event times are listed in EST.

Monday: Limbus/Sea farming 9pm
Tuesday: Einherjar 9pm
Wednesday: Dynamis 8pm
Thursday: Limbus/Sea farming 9pm
Friday: Einherjar/Salvage 9pm Salvage earlier
Saturday: Free Day/Salvage 6pm
Sunday: Dynamis 8pm



Members are encouraged to attend as much as possible. Events that are totally optional are Salvage and Sea farming, but Sea farming is encouraged either at posted times or whenever people feel like going out and doing it.

It was pointed out that your LS name is against TOS. Just because nothing is happening now doesn't mean nothing will happen. All it takes is for some endgame drama to come flying your way and bam all (or a few) members perma banned. Laugh and giggle it up now but don't come here or anywhere crying about getting banned when one person goes out of their way to get you all reported. Have fun I guess because you're too stupid to take some peoples advice.

These people are seriously not bullshitting you. A linkshell name like that has a high chance of action being taken from a GM who won't get the joke.

Just change the name for your own and your linkshell's peace of mind.

Well, nothing should happen to the members, they have no influence over it. But the shellholder can get suspended or banned for the name...possibly. Although the reference to the STF linkshell is not a good comparision as that was an obvious reference to a branch of SE.

I don't think I'd say it was an obvious reference. All the leader would have needed to say when the GM contacted him was that it was a reference to the Sri Lankan special forces unit of the same name. Maybe they would have needed to change it but I'm sure that would evaded the banhammer. Too bad he was probably a retard and instead said "lulz I thought it would be funny wwwwww."
