The only thing that bums me the fuck out is that I know they haven't been able to get Jeffrey Dean Morgan to come back for a guest spot (or if they have, they win a complete internets for the best kept casting secret ever). The little shit's just too damn busy making Hollywood movies. He's always said he wants to, but he's too busy. How dare he go and make blockbuster hits like The Watchmen and be all famous and shit?

I feel like the boys' dad should be there for the Apocalypse. Personal opinion. Him having escaped from Hell and all.

Apparently, episode 15 and 14 were aired out of order. They decided to shuffle them around for ratings or timing in relation to hiatus or something, idk... Either way, that's why there was no fallout in last ep.

I am stupidly happy they found a way to take God out of the equation. It was a pretty obvious ploy just to get him out of the way, so he couldn't just swoop down and be the end-all solution in the finale, but I don't really care - I'm just happy he won't be their escape route. Also, what's that sound? The sound of Castiel's entire existence being shat on? Oh, ok.

I loved Ash. I hated Pamela. She was one of my favorite characters, and she was written completely different this time. HAY GUYZ IF PPL DIE THEY JUST COME HERE NO BIG DEAL LOL GO SAY YES.

All of Dean's best memories are of Sam. All of Sam's best memories are of leaving his family. Oh boy!

I wonder how much of "heaven" was just a massive mindfuck from Zachariah. Someone upthread mentioned Pam was written differently - maybe it was intentional, to get Dean to say yes to Michael, since that is what Zach wants. She also said she was shot, when I'm pretty sure she was stabbed by a demon in that shitty motel room when she died last season. Now, that could either by a huge fuck up by the script supervisor, or intentional if the entire thing was manufactured by Zach to get the boys both closer to saying yes.

Think about it - all of Sam's happy memories were away from Dean (well, more away from John, but you get the point) - the Thanksgiving with the 13 y/o girl's family, the time in Flagstaff with the dog, etc. All of Dean's happy memories were with family - the fireworks with wee-Sam, the "Wuv Hugz" one with Mary, etc. That drives a wedge between them and in Zach's point-of-view, hopefully gets them both closer to saying yes and getting this show on the road.

The other evidence of it being a mindfuck is the impact it has on Castiel - Joshua said God has intervened enough, he doesn't care, etc., so that demoralizes one of the boys' greatest allies on Team Free Will.

I'm not entirely sure about the massive Zach mindfuck theory. Castiel's disappointment in God's refusal to get involved fits the trend of sons being abandoned by a seemingly-uncaring father on this show (daddy issues, hi!). He's one of the boys, now! XD I think Sam's memories of being away from his family were in his "happy" category because they were what he wanted at that time, and when he experienced them, that was what was important to him. Even the memory of him having ran away from Dean, I interpreted that as being more about wanting to be somewhere else, and less about specifically being away from his family.

The thing that lends the most cred to the mindfuck theory is Pam, imo. I can't get past how awful she was. Thankfully Ash was awesome. Dean being like, sorry I got you killed dude, and Ash going "I'M COOL WITH IT! \m/" was awesome.
