I love how spam is just a clique of self-conscious people trying to exert their superiority over the rest of BG.

The simplest word that fits the purpose is the best word. That was not the best word.
This is not as tl;dr as it was going to be because I deleted a bunch of it, because it didn't really say what I wanted it to say, and I'm not particularly happy with what this actually says but it will do:
Well, after several existential crises, I really had to win one of them, and the one I did swing in my favour happened to be the war. I'm currently in the process of attempting to free myself from myself and I'm currently succeeding. I wouldn't call it a goal or meaning or anything, but I want to live my life in accordance with the needs and wants of my soul, whatever those might be. I want to live a life dictated by my soul free from all of the poisons regularly dumped into it by both society and the mind, and to a very much lesser extent, the body. I believe that there is too much pain, hatred, anger, and all of those bad things in the world, and I am removing as much of this as I can from the only place I can. I think that human decency is one of the rarest and most wonderful things and, if I can give all of this trivial stuff out that I can, then I will be happy.
I honestly don't really have ambitions and I don't see anything wrong with that.
I think there's beauty in transience. I really do. Permanence can be such an ugly thing.
Err, I was just saying that I've been in one giant existential crisis for at least 5 years, and I'm out in favourable way.
Gentlemen, unleash your trolls.
look, what you're saying may be horribly obvious but I really have no respect for you so speak plainly or... do as you wish
and if you think I don't speak this "emo" in RL with the people that matter then you are mistaken
I laugh at all your prepared cliche criticisms too, because despite my misgivings about my current situation I really don't fit the stereotype of a gamer/former gamer
yeah I was playing ffxi way too much but even then I still worked 40 hours, had a gf, chilled with friends, went to clubs/bars, listen to cool music, have a good handshake/make eye contact, can work a crowd/known as "the funny guy" etc etc
you mistake my plainspeak for emo and act like every single person on earth can't identify with some part of what I'm saying
ps - I have no idea what you mean by front street
yeah howard I know what you mean -- I played FFXI too much, but somehow I managed to finish a PhD (I have no idea how given I was playing like 16 hours a day for a while) and do lots of useful stuff but since I quit playing I feel so much better about myself because it allows me so much more freedom to go do useful and interesting things.
As for existential crises, I'm pretty much a coaster -- I don't plan too far ahead (except in the general case, i.e. 'I'd like to do x, y, z at some point'), I don't like society to dictate what I should do because of my gender (get married, not be an academic, have children), I just do what I think is good and right (I have a very highly trained sense of justice, which often gets me into trouble) and I like to look out for other people. I guess I'm pretty in tune with my moral standing being an ethicist and all, but I don't generally think too hard about other things except when it comes to dealing with people. I figure if I put in as much as I can into this life, I'll be rewarded with having an awesome life. And I won't hold my breath for anything after it, but it'd be nice to be remembered by someone for doing something good. (Though I agree, it's not like I'm going to care after I'm dead, but there is some value in that sort of a goal because it can affect how you live your life now
tl;dr grow up finesse![]()
so how's that serious conversation coming?
I know it's late but your shit is tired
