    SMN & DRG -BP & Breath macros

    I decided to start using windower scripts for these and I'm just wondering if any SMNs or DRGs can give me their scripts when they macro in -BP and breath?

    Example:
    input /equip head "Drachen Armet"
    input /ma Barstone <me>
    input /wait 2
    input /equip head "Wyrm Armet"

    or

    input /equip legs "Summoner's Spats"
    input /pet "Predator Claws"
    input /wait 2
    input /equip legs "Evoker's Spats"

    So, are these even correct? I can't get online at the moment to even check, but I'd really like a premade script someone actually uses just so know I'm doing it right.

    Instead of "input /wait 2" just use "/pause 2"

    Also, your Predator Claws line needs a <t> or <stnpc> or whatever you prefer.

    Personally I prefer to put the Wyrm armet in with my HB items, just since it's part of the set as well.

    I've not done full windower scripts for my HB macros, but that's because I don't have a normal trigger set. Just hit 2 macros. Trigger spell with Drachen armet in it > HB gear macro since it's only 5 items anyway

    Here's what I do, taken from a post I made for my LS but eh... I'm feeling generous!

    As requested...

    Okay, here's how mine are laid out. I know some people do it a bit different, this assumes you're using windower:

    /console exec dragoon/healingBreathPre.txt
    /ma "Dia" <t>
    /wait 2
    /console exec dragoon/healingBreath.txt
    /wait 5
    /console exec dragoon/tpGear.txt

    If you're using barspells with /rdm, you want to make that second /wait 5 a /wait 3

    Now, the contents of those txt files are:

    HealingBreathPre.txt:
    input /equip Head "Drachen Armet +1";
    input /equip Neck "Chanoix's gorget";
    input /equip Ammo "Happy Egg";
    input /equip Ear1 "Ethereal Earring";
    input /equip Ear2 "Insomnia Earring";
    input /equip Body "Wyvern Mail";
    input /equip Hands "Alkyoneus's Brc.";
    input /equip Ring1 "Bomb Queen Ring";
    input /equip Ring2 "Iota Ring";
    input /equip Back "Gigant Mantle";
    input /equip Waist "Powerful rope";
    input /equip Legs "Drachen Brais +1";
    input /equip Feet "Wyrm Greaves +1";

    Your goal with this set is to put in as much HP+ and Wyvern HP+ as you can while still wearing your AF1 helm and Drachen Brais. This will let you activate it sooner and get stronger HBs. As you can see, I'm missing a few things, but I've run out of space and spend my money elsewhere! This allows me to active my HB ~890 HP.

    HealingBreath.txt:
    input /equip Head "Wyrm Armet +1";
    input /equip Neck "Chanoix's gorget";
    input /equip Ammo "Happy Egg";
    input /equip Ear1 "Ethereal Earring";
    input /equip Ear2 "Insomnia Earring";
    input /equip Body "Wyvern Mail";
    input /equip Hands "Alkyoneus's Brc.";
    input /equip Ring1 "Bomb Queen Ring";
    input /equip Ring2 "Iota Ring";
    input /equip Back "Gigant Mantle";
    input /equip Waist "Powerful rope";
    input /equip Legs "Drachen Brais +1";
    input /equip Feet "Wyrm Greaves +1";

    This swaps in your AF2 helm while leaving your other gear in place... it's a bit redundant, but I've never had a reason to change it.

    Now, if you're not using windower:

    /equip "Head" Drachen Armet
    /ma "Dia" <t>
    /wait 2
    /equip "Head" Wyrm Armet
    /wait 5
    /equip "Head" Askar Spikeyhelm

    Same thing applies- make that second wait 5 a wait 3 if you're using bar spells to trigger. If you're going to do it this way, I suggest xp'ing in your AF legs at least, maybe give up a slot or two for HP as well. Just don't give up too much for HP's sake- a little DEF goes a long way on ~EM mobs.

    When is Wyvern HP calculated? Could you start in notDrachenBrais and finish in Wyrm Armet/Drachen Brais and still get the stronger HB, for instance?

    It's calculated at time of breath use (not ready), you can trigger with only AF/AF+1 hat, and then switch to Relic head + all your hp gear afterwards, so you don't need drachen brais et al until the second phase, although for most people the second phase tends to be the longer one.

    Ah, thank you very much. That's very handy information :D was debating switching my breath setup to a two-stage one... does this mean going Drachen Armet => HP hat (assuming no Wyrm Armet) is then better than just Drachen Armet too?

    No, because trigger HP is calculated at the time of spell cast with the drachen armet/no drachen armet on to figure if you're at trigger range. Quickly changing the helm won't effect your trigger range for HB.

    This.

    Stack as much HP+ gear for yourself along with Drachen Armet in 1st stage to trigger the HB, 2nd stage swap to Wyrm Armet + as much wyvern HP gear as possible to max the HB.

    I dunno how others fair, but with spells like foot kick and such, I find it hard to go from trigger gear>wHP gear and have i still take effect since there is a slight delay in it taking effect :/

    I have a BLU setup too Silentroy, Ill try to get those delays for you later.

    As for wyvern HP, I find that it takes some time for +HP% and +HP to be added, probably caused by server-side lag. I find that having that stuff in the first stage makes it much more likely for me to get a full wyvern breath cure, while having it in the second stage tends to make it fall flat, especially if I'm curing a lot.

    Other people don't have this problem? Try switching on your af+1 pants and just watch how long it takes for your wyverns health bar to adjust... that's just barely above the amount of time it has to be on to actually be counted for your HB, from my experience.

    I put my wyvern HP gear that doesn't take the place of any major self HP gear in the first trigger as well (AF1 legs, Chanoix Gorget) so the only major swap I have from self HP gear to Wyvern HP gear is the body piece. I normally use /BLU as well with Foot Kick/ Sprout Smack for 2 separate HB macros (in case recast isn't up fast enough) and never really have a problem with getting the Wyvern HP gear to kick in on the body swap before HB starts.

    I hit my HBGear macro as soon as I see in my log that my wyvern, and 99% of the time it's fast enough of a gear change. I find it better to do it manually than to let the commands take care of it, as you can learn the feel of times yourself and know when you can/can't get the breath gear on to trigger the higher healing.

    input /ma "Poisona" <me>;
    input /equip head "Drachen Armet";
    input /equip legs "Drn. Brais +1";
    input /equip neck "Chanoix's Gorget";
    input /equip body "Wyvern Mail";
    input /equip hands "Ostreger Mitts";
    wait 2;
    input /equip head "Wyrm Armet";

    input /equip neck "Love Torque";
    input /equip legs "Homam Cosciales";
    input /equip body "Ares's Cuirass";
    input /equip hands "Dusk Gloves";

    all wyvern + hp gear on, then back to normal gear, biggest issue is if i get interupted, i can't hit the macro again, until my original gear switches back, because if i do, i'll cast with tp gear that just swaps in, but apart from that, works well for me

    Here's my old HB setup using scripts:

    input /echo ***Healing Breath***
    input /equip Head "Drachen Armet"
    input /equip Body "Wyvern Mail"
    input /equip Hands "Ostreger Mitts"
    input /equip Legs "Drachen Brais +1"
    input /equip Feet "Askar Gambieras"
    input /equip Neck "Chanoix's Gorget"
    input /equip Ring2 "Bomb Queen Ring"
    input /ma "Dia" <t>
    Wait 1
    input /ma "Power Attack" <t>
    input /ma "Foot Kick" <t>
    input /ma "Baraero" <me>
    input /ma "Poison" <t>
    wait 2
    input /equip head "Wyrm Armet"
    I never really used /rdm or /whm all that much so those things prolly lose efficiency. I had a whole separate macro that solely switching is armets for curing to use after this macro in case I need extra healing and I liked it a lot better. I also don't really pay attention to my threshold HP all that much, so I only put in BQ ring to offset the HP loss from turban so when I'm in orange the breath still goes off, but that's just me.

    New Spellcast setup that I havn't had a chance to test yet:
    <if Skill="*Magic">
    <action type="equip" when="precast" set="HEALINGBREATH" />
    <action type="equip" when="aftercast" aftercastDelay="1"><head>Wyrm Armet</head></action>
    <if Status="engaged">
    <action type="equip" when="aftercast" aftercastDelay="6" set="TP" />
    </if>
    </if>
    Any tips to make the seconds one more efficient/any errors you would like to point out is greatly appreciated. I still don't see how people don't have problems with the potency gear taking effect :<

    Windower scripts are so 2007....Spellcast is infinitely better for SMN.

    Works wonders for my gfs DRG/mage. she mostly plays as drg/whm hence the triggers.

    have yet to lag out and fail her in campaign with these settings.

    Do you use autoexec to switch back to TP gear after HB goes off(never tried this) or do you do it manually?

    I'm starting to level DRG as well. Have all gear for 75 and stuff all ready. I don't use scripts, so would the HB macro still be the same?

    Equip af1 > gear > spell > /wait 2

    Or would it be differnt since not using a script? I never used a script before so not sure if there is a differnce other then able to equip more in the macro.
