I was working in Washington DC that day. When everyone was told to leave and go home the highway was like a parking lot. I remember being pissed that it took me like 5 hours to go home that day.

And then I got home and watched the news. And I was like "Damn".

lol. I was listening to Howard Stern when it happened. He had the brains to cut off the retards calling in going, "IT WUZ DEM GODDAMN TOWELHADZ!"

U.S. Citizens died in the tsunami too. I haven't seen a "Patriot Day" for them yet. Oh right, it didn't happen on "our" soil so it's moot.

More like it was a natural disaster, instead of a calculated and malicious attack.

I feel just as strongly about the Train Bombing in Madrid as I do about the attacks on 9/11. It was horrible to witness. When people die I don't lump them up into races or nationalities or WHY.

It is a tragedy anytime people die in droves. Natural or Man made. I consider people wearing their flags and r/w/b to be just showing their unity. Not everyone doing it is some right wing nut job.

I was getting my cable installed in my college apartment. The cable guy came in and was like "since you don't have tv yet did you hear the news?" I was like "what news"


so he set up the cable and I sat there with him watching the news. Was completely stunned.

What about those of us who are patriotic more than just one day a year? There is Veteran's Day too ya know!

But in all seriousness, I know people who fly a flag everday (I would but can't due to apartment restrictions). I send stuff to the troops every couple of months, and have a friend who is currently in the Sand Pit who gets packages from my wife and I once a month.

Sure, some people are patriotic a couple days a year, but there are some of us who are patriotic more often than not.

I skipped school (11th grade), slept-in, got a phonecall that a plane crashed into the tower. Decided it wasn't a big deal, went back to sleep, got another phone call saying a 2nd plane crashed into the tower, decided I didn't care all that much, went back to sleep.
