John Ritter is a huge asshole for dying on 9/11. How dare he.

On topic: I never particularly liked him and never understood why everyone got so nostalgic about him. That "8 simple rules" show sucked hard, and is how I will always remember him. The fact that they kept that show running for 2 seasons after he died (especially considering its title is from his character's point of view) is extremely lulzy - one of the most damning indictments of the network sitcom format.

He was pretty good in Bad Santa though.

The only other thing I've seen him in was IT and I think Scary Movie 2? I liked him in everything I've seen of his. =)

I, for one, did not even know today marked the day that John Ritter died. I had almost forgotten about him.

While I'm sure 2200 people dying because of some terrorist assholes might seem much more tragic, there are plenty of other fucking things that happen in the course of a day that are worth remembering.
