Nah, what I meant is I know a few ppl who quit and are waiting for XIV, some people already sold their account before a lot of other people try to.
I see what you mean now, thank you for clarifying for me.![]()
With SE moving more towards personal accountability and real ID use, I am uncertain how it will work out at least for token users and those who dropped the token but still have the SE account.
They are talking of plans to use the new Square Enix Account system for XIV and possibly transferring character names over into a surname. Those that have an SE account will likely need to use the same account for XIV. If they had sold their characters, this would really make that nasty for their future endeavors.
Just filtering tells = SE doing it half-assed. Here's hoping it's a mistranslation or something and that they're going to implement a more robust generalized filter for all in-game communications like POL mail, /say, /yell etc.
Hopefully the SE-powered filter will be able to check things like "new account, level 1" into determining whether or not the tell looks suspicious.
From SE's point of view, the only "issue" with the RMT tells is that the GMs have been flooded. Filter the tells, GM calls stop, "issue" resolved :-/
Too little, too late. On the bright side, SE will soon be dropping the ball in 14 instead of 11.
I wonder if there's a way to automate gm calls for whenever a /tell like this gets filtered.
the Gm's dont actually talk to you anymore if you mention the words rmt and spambot with the name in the message. they just send a generic message from the help desk and 50~70% of the time ban the bot on the spot. it would actually be quite safe Even then you could simple be playing when you leave the autoGM thing on..
In SE's new post, the one informing us about the plans for a new filter feature, they are asking that people make complete gm calls with the name of the offender put into the call description so that less traffic is put in to the gm cue. Automating gm calls is account suicide.
If you send a call while one is active you also get flagged and a message about it, asking you wtf you are doing. Gm's are busy but regardless, some times they send a live response, especially if you are among the first to tell them about a rmt /tell.
@frodnonnag I don't understand what you meant.![]()
