Scrubs Season 9

Well, we got to see his interactions with his father in at least one episode, numerous instances of him with other Janitors to screw with JD, and of course his marriage to Lady. So far, all we know about these security guards is that they're security guards, and they work various other jobs on/around the campus. Not that it didn't take a long time to develop the Janitor's character, but there was certainly more to him than simple gags to screw with JD, it was a very intriguing personality. OH! and his stuffed squirrels collection too.

Edit: I guess what I'm mainly getting at is the whole process of going from a completely developed show and transitioning to a new cast. It's like starting all over again, basically. You have to watch them grow as characters again.

Well, it took the Janitor a long time to develop a personality that was deeper than the urge to screw with JD, even then there wasn't THAT much more. Security Guards could be what the Janitor was, which isn't to say they won't develop later on.

Loving the new season, Scrubs is back!

The new season of scrubs has given me an overwhelming urge to do three things:

1. Take an active interest in the life of Nicky Whelan,
2. Start eating bread and bread-based foods with utensils, and
3. Punch every surviving member of the Franco family in the face.

Cole's character is really good. He's almost Lumberg good. I despise him.

I didn't like Cole until this week. Reminded me a lot of Aziz Ansari's character last year on Scrubs. Much better this episode, and now we see that he may not be completely self-absorbed, just 95%, makes him more believable and interesting, at least to me.

As much as it pains me to say this, we shouldn't get too attached. ABC is going to start burning off the episodes in January by airing double episodes until all 13 have been aired. They are doing this to make way for Lost which starts airing in Feb. So after the end of January, no more Scrubs, and to make matters worse, ABC has yet to commit to another season. We won't know anything about their decision until May and so far the ratings have been low so it might not get picked up.

Amazed no one posted about last night's episode. It seemed really good. The ending scene with Kelso made the night for me I think.

Just watched this weeks episode, actually liked it. Would be kind of interesting to see how the next episode looks without JD acting gay for 10 minutes of the show. And Kelso in the end with Cole was pretty awesome, although I had a weird feeling it was gonna go another direction at first, what with him giving Cole drinks <_<

This new show sucks. I'm just going to consider Season 8 as the true ending to the series, because this abomination on the air now isn't Scrubs.

Have they provided a reason in-show why JD is leaving now? If so, I must have missed it, but I don't see any explanation as to why JD is now leaving (other than the obvious real-life stuff).

I honestly wish they had gotten rid of JD sooner or not involved him at all, I find the character to be such a fucking flaming gay caricature and not the real JD and a huge distraction from getting interested in these med students. Also should focus on Sunni/Jo as interns too instead of suddenly saying they know shit to teach these med students..

To be honest, I am starting to hate this new season. The douchebag dude is annoying as hell, Janitor and Ted is gone, should have ended at s8.

You don't need to "start hating the season" for reasons that were established either before or during the first episode. Dave Franco's cole is no more obnoxious than Turk was originally. Aside from Kelso and Cox the old characters have done little more than take away from the show's potential, JD being the most glaring example.

So after the revelation that Cole smokes weed? Who else has trouble picturing him as anything but James Franco's(his older brother) character in Pineapple Express?

Yesterday's episode wasn't too bad, I was really expecting much worse without JD, but it still had funny moments. Didn't really like how they removed him from the show though, I knew it was coming, but wtf, all they said was that he was gone, and that was it?

Drew is honestly the greatest character on that show by a long shot, I rarely see a scene with him and not end up laughing.

At this point I kind of wish they'd just leave the whole thing in the past now, Turk can be friends with Jo, Cox can be an asshole and team up with Drew to fuck with Cole, and Lucy will probably continue to be a nervous wreck. Just stop referencing any of the old cast that has left now and be done with, cuz shit just doesn't make sense (e.g. JD is gone without explanation but here's Elliot to try to help Turk in one episode, wut?)

Barely felt like a goodbye though for the main character of the show. =/ Compared to last season's finale anyways.
