I went in wanting to see Ian McShane as the most badass, intimidating Blackbeard, which he pulled off. However,

it started great, but the writers just turned his char into a little bitch by the end.

Through the whole movie the overall vibe was too little on the good chars/subjects, and dragging on with the bads far too long. If you have to ponder in Blackbeards zombie crew got more lines than Blackbeard himself, there's a problem. And the missionary?...ruined every scene by having the last line. I cringed when

he got his throat cut, but you knew his shit wasn't over, and now he would come back with a featured, "important" role to shove down your throats.
