I hated how they resolved the Will/Elizabeth love arc.

Ok, Will's finally with his dad, gets to be an immortal pirate and............Elizabeth gets an eternity stuck in the locker after the entire franchise went out of its way to portray her as an evolving damsel-in-distress.

Barbossa should have given her the pistol with one shot after finding out she'd be in the locker forever. I know Kiera/Orlando wanted to write themselves out of the franchise but cmon.

Doesn't matter anyway, so long as Geoffrey Rush comes back as charismatic as ever.

Yeah, that's how it ended. Think the scene at the end of the credits was after 10 years(or however long it was between each visit) when she's waiting on a cliff with their son and there's the flash to show that he's on the way.

1.) Dunno, hopefully the movie will explain, or it'll just be some arbitrary and random amount of time.

2.) Probably disappeared into the ether along with all other plot elements that are created to expand a story with no real fore- or after-thought. (Although, arguably the Pirate Lords have no purpose now that Tia Dalma is freed)

Wow this looks badass, I'm so glad they shitcanned Will/Elizabeth honestly, that was getting so old every film. The wedding scene on the ship in #3 was one of the worst scenes in the entire series IMHO, they really just milked that love triangle bs way too much. Penelope Cruz looks to be an amazing addition though, I'm really looking forward to this :D.

Even if I remembered wrong, she was stuck waiting in 10 year intervals for him to show up anyway. Hardly "happily ever after" by the textbook definition.

I never knew why she didn't just go on the ship and follow him for all eternity or w/e.

Did they ever really leave the locker? Or were all of the over the top unnatural things that happened part of some delusion brought on to disguise the harsh reality? Perhaps the entire movie is just Jack's purgatorial dreams within the locker.

We're left to assume their love for each other makes up for only seeing each other once every 10 years. Plus when shes about to kick the bucket she'll probably just go drown herself and stay with Will in the locker -_-
