Probably my favorite thing about 3 was the locker scene, it's just so goddamn hilarious. But I did really like all the stuff about the other pirates (vs what movie 2 had, the fishmen and Jones' ship) which I think is why I like 3 more than 2. Yeah, there's cheesy silly stuff in all of them, but they wouldn't be the same without it XD
lol'd
Yeah I came to expect it being Disney and all, and this is still an amazing franchise for them to come out with. There will always be cheese in movies made for mainstream but it gets a smidge tedious when they overload it like they did in 3 is all hehe.
I'm spacing atm but pretty sure it was #3 where Elizabeth saw the ghost of her father floating in the sea with hundreds of others, really macabre scene and goes to show what they're capable of><.
ya it's p3. it is when they are leaving the locker the souls are lost cause Davy Jones ain't doing his job
Yeah I put it together after I posted heh, no way it could've been #2
Such a sad scene though;;
It's been already said, but to reiterate since people still mention it: Jones wasn't performing his duties on the dutchman and so he and the crew turned into those fish monsters and were able to do whatever they wanted(eg. not having to spend 10 years out in the locker and having only 1 day in the "real world"). So Elizabeth can't go along with Will onto the dutchman because Will's performing his duties. And also, Will can't be with Elizabeth in a tub of water because then he'd be a fish monster like Jones if he did that.
Movie is getting blasted on rotten tomatoes
K-ROLD
Just got back from midnight showing.
I normally give alot of leeway for movies...but it was just forgettable-bad. Only a few scenes were even worth remembering tbh.
I am upset that I have to see this.
Damn gf.

Saw it last night, as I have a bunch of friends who like these movies a lot.
I didn't think it was terrible, but it wasn't great either. A couple of good scenes, several bad ones. I enjoyed it more than the third, I think, about even with the second, but a far cry from the first. Some fairly significant plot holes, as well. The 3-D seemed better done than a lot of the 3-D movies I've seen, though.
the 3d was great, imo. I normally hate 3d because the peripherals are really blurry in most movies. This one's 3d was great though.
The plot was pretty bad imo.. it's like the writers had a few good ideas and pushes the script along with shit just to get to those moments.
Also, I don't think they did a good job with the music during important scenes. When blackbeard touched his sword and moved the ship around they did a good job with the epic music, but where was it when barbossa came out of the fog at the fountain? when the mermaids attacked? I felt more emotion when watching the 3d trailer of transformers than this movie.
I didn't really think the 3d was worth it. I don't generally watch movies in 3d but had to this time due to time constraints. If its better than most 3d movies, then I'm glad I generally don't waste my money on 3d.
Despite all the bad rap this movie is getting, I enjoyed it way more than I ever did 2 and 3.
Watched it in 3d on the biggest imax screen in the world.
It was fucking terrible.
That's disappointing. I was actually looking forward to this.
It was honestly kind of weird how like... the 3d was fairly understated, so it was like, I kind of appreciate that they're not just trying to show off 3d, but on the flipside it was really disappointing visually, the only cool looking scenes were the like 2 or 3 big sweeping forest overviews.
It wasn't a great movie. It was enjoyable, but forgettable. Pretty sad, but I'm over it.
Saw it in 2D last night. I was entertained throughout most of it. The ending bits are a little retarded but meh, it was an average popcorn movie. Don't regret seeing it but not something I would go out and buy later.
Guess I'm waiting for online availability, like every single other movie in the past few years. Movies have been so disappointing lately, even the super hype movies I didn't enjoy that much. Also, yet to see a 3d movie, don't think I care.
