thats what i love about this thread.

Posting "ok" gear and going over the top with the critique. its far more entertaining seeing someone make a fool of themselves than looking at gimp/WTF gear.

It's indeed becoming more and more of a bitchfest of people posting people in acceptable gear just because they do not have <insert rediculously hard to obtain item>, resulting in a huge debate of people bitching at linkshells they are not and probably never will be a part of for choosing to do other things with their event drops. There are still a few exceptions here and there of course, but yep that's pretty much what this thread has become.

There's a 15 minute gap missing there. I was dual boxing so I lost most of that chat log.

In that time we talked about how his linkshell planned for 7PM EST on the dynamis calender, but they enter at 8-8:30PM EST instead. He said he does this because he believes that every other person's calender automatically adjusts to a daylight savings time that people in the eastern time zone do not apply to. (I do all my linkshell times in eastern time zone, so I can verify this logic is in fact incorrect.)

He said he refuses to change this because he planned it 10 weeks ago and he shouldn't have to because it will be wrong no matter what he changes it to.

After a pleasant 30-45 minute long conversation, I was sadly blacklisted on both accounts. And I still don't understand what he was trying to say.

Well from what i can see from this map.

He is semi right DST is not used everywhere in the world, and if lolwiki is right Arizona doesn't use DST anymore

You posted this in the wrong thread.... you need to post your own failings in the Random Fail thread. The guy is right. DST isn't the same everywhere, with places like Indiana, Hawaii, Arizona being different. Not to mention that DST isn't used "all over the world" either.

The only "issue" with this is that setting a LS event times by an area that doesn't use DST is kinda annoying. It's far easier for the non-DST people to adapt to DST than the other way around.

I have the HQ brd hat, as well as a NQ for storage purposes, and my brd mule has one as well.

If getting city AF is considered difficult to get...

I started playing at NA PS2 release. Took me about a year to get BRD 75, and it was my only job for a few years. I've been doing Dynamis basically since a month or two after I hit 75. Keeping in mind that Zhayolm Remnants wasn't understood until several months after Salvage was released, I still completed Marduk's Tiara months before I ever saw a roundlet drop (which of course, I passed at that point). Naturally, we've seen about half a dozen drop since then.

So yeah, I can understand someone not having one. They might even just not be doing Dynamis for whatever reason. NQ Demon Helm is at least trying. It's not worthless or counterproductive, and for debuffs, there isn't a lot you can buy that surpasses it (other than the HQ).

Butthurt post of a NQ brd standing around in DA? Could be claim mule, could be someone who hates brd and has almost no gear for it, but needed to bring for buffs? Could be 2boxed by someone who just grabbed random shit and ran out there to help heal melees or just be a ballad whore for blms?

It's ugly, but that qualifies about as much as a town gear shot. It's DA. There's always shit like that floating around, and you stating it's a competing LS doesn't help your case either.

Why would it be a claiming mule? Probably because people do use claiming mules that can contribute to the fight as well as being there for claim. Brd is a common one because of that. You may know who the mules are, but you don't know if they're being 2boxed atm. Believe it or not, but boxing is actually a common thing in DA. I promise.

Yeah. Like I said, it could be that he hardly ever plays brd so he doesn't have much gear for it, but needed to come to be a buff whore. I know it's a crazy concept, but at least 1 other person out there agrees it's a distinct possibility. (Yes that's sarcasm)
