The first map is easy, the second map is much harder.
The second map would be harder if it actually required a difficult time. 60 seconds means you can crash 6-7 times as long as it isn't on the straightaways. It would actually be difficult if they required you to get <55.

You and your "3rd" dimension.

Man, the tent puts the overworld on easy-mode. Free full hp/mp even mid-fight. ;/
Guess I'll actually need that during From mode.
Finally got this in the mail from amazon today, I picked the Dark Dragon named 'Dragoon' as my first hero. Is this a bad idea? I had no idea they gave you so many options initially, I couldn't choose. Also what does the 'install' feature do? I just skipped it and went straight to 'New Game'.
So pissed I went by Blockbuster to try to rent this and they aren't carrying it... like every Atlus game... fuckers...
Doesn't matter what you choose. There are the two genders and three classes, all with very minute differences (such as an additional health/mana bar, or less cost on casting), and every time you load up your save data you're asked if you want to change the hero you selected.
Cuts a second or two off general loading time, to the point where it disables the loading screens since you barely get a chance to glance at them anyway. Also what does the 'install' feature do? I just skipped it and went straight to 'New Game'.
(although you can force them on in the options menu)
Theres a cheat to disable showing the shield if you have a cool sprite that doesn't look as good with it.
picked it up last night. already beat the Grass Temple, though there was one more locked door than there were keys. I assume I have to come back later with this game's equivalent of the Magic Key to get everything?
so far I guess I don't have much to say about it. it's not bad, but it hasn't wowed me aside from the giant sword being cool, and a few cute references here and there. upgraded my sword to go through walls because that seems the most important trait by far.
I think I need to get fucking absolutely baked tonight and come back to it... I think that will be a lot more fun heh.
anyone still playing this? I've been trying to find a good place to farm money, so far I've found that you can zone back and forth in the northwest corner of the map, where there are all those blue centaur dudes, which can drop gold coins. Other than that I dunno what to farm, maybe zombies near the graveyard/wind temple but I'm not sure.
Also I think I got the life shard from the wishing well outside Raejack but I can't be sure, but I keep putting money into this shit and getting consumables. Got the 4th bottle on the 5th try though, whee
Also does the Ancient Sword just disappear once you get the Hero Sword?
I will be as soon as it gets here, its in Kentucky atm :l

There's actually one more life shard than you need to max out your lifebar, so even if you're wrong and you haven't gotten the well one you can still get the trophy.
I did my farming in the spot where you get the mirror right before the dark tower. There's a dozen or more zombies there, they drop gold coins fairly often, and the luck mallet takes 4 or 5 hits to kill them, so if you fully upgraded that you get five hundred+ gol from just smacking them around. Zombies are pretty safe to kill too, and if you accidentally kill all of them there's a zoneline nearby.
oh snap, I forgot about the Luck Mallet... where do you get it? I haven't done any minigames yet, was going to wait til I'm almost done.
Just got the Giga Sword too, looks like it'll cost me nearly 88k to fully upgrade, lol.
Well, now that the game has been out for some time yet, is there a non-spoilerific compilation of missables in chronological order yet?
I've been putting the game off unfortunately in favour of other titles, but I get the feeling that when I get back into it, I'll be pretty much playing it non-stop until it's beaten, just like I have been with Resident Evil 5 lately. (which I grabbed a couple months ago and barely put any time into until this last week)
You get the luck mallet in ortego by beating the blockout minigame without losing a single ball. Saddest thing about the giga sword is that about about half of the cash you put into it is redundant, it just gets so huge. Devs should've focused more on using it properly than on size.
As for a guide without spoilers, I've only ever actually seen a single guide for the game(on GameFAQs), but it's so well done I don't think any other guides are really necessary.
the gamefaqs guide is great, that's what ive been using, and it's relatively spoiler free (not that the story isn't formulaic and predictable to begin with)
the only issue I have is that the world map is kinda meh, it doesn't really show you how to find all the secrets, just tells you where they're located.
