    We always had atleast 3 usually 4 CS Stunners ~ team of 2 > 20s > single or team of 2 > 20s > team of 2 (20s = wait 20s until next one pops CS) ~ Or If I thought for whatever reason we needed longer to kill him (Lack of drks and/or rngs) had second team wait 30s before using CS~

    We also always always killed Fairy Ring and Nan'tina ~ (I have heard of several linkshells skipping one or the other though.)

    It's probable your just running into bad luck though. I've never resisted on him (finger gauntlets, nashira, torque, macc), not to say it couldn't happen though.

    For Qufim, you can pull Suttung wthout having to clear the gob stats in the way. Just need to be sneaky

    My shell is pretty low on zerging capability; our only zerg-able drks are 2 m.kris and one of those could be on a different job if we happen to be low on numbers and some people on non-drk jobs don't seem to understand the concept fully (ie: squid sushi whilst the 3 brds are rotating and a thf with feint is present, haste gear for HF, not using 2 hour at all)

    But when we do win Valkurm (and believe me we have had some epic fuck-ups that lost it for us), the 1st rdm's chainspell (usually me) has only just wore. Having 2 rdm/drks concurrently going on CC just seems a waste of numbers, we bring 2 rdm/drks and often the 2nd rdm in order doesn't need to use their chainspell.

    Also, I saw someone on BG before mention wearing Terra's staff for chainstun and I think it's a good tip. It might well be a complete coincidence but I've tried it a few times now and it's always been much smoother for me. I've never had a stun outright resist from a CoP boss though, even with Terra's and just a dark torque.

    Not sure how many people were aware of this, but you can make it so that CC doesnt pop his 2 adds by simply linking a mob with it.

    For example we just have a rdm hold a mob with bind/sleep in the trees, then when SV songs are on the rdm is otw and links boss and adds wont pop.

    It is more of a neat trick then anything magical or gamebreaking, like wulf said if ur brd cant sleep them then your doing something wrong anyway.

    I use 2 CS stuns and have them both go at the same time. It has 38k HP, a kraken DRK can be expected to deal (9.12 * hp) damage and a mkris can be expected to deal (6 * hp) damage with average gear(19% haste, 3x homam + turban + swift + blitz). Aim for 45k damage to be safe(shitty procs, people getting hit, etc), overlap the stuns, you're golden. Use of /DRG can pump out additional damage(7.2 * hp for kris and 10.56 * hp for club with same other gear + wyvern earring/targe) if you severely lack zerg drks, but it'll hinder their ability to tank the rest of the run and is probably not a good idea unless you just want one win to get tav access.

    Since this thread has been bumped, what route do people take after killing boss in Qufim. Trying to target more acc mobs that we do currently, but seems everywhere ya go need to clear beastmen.

    Our Valkurm strat...

    I know you might be interested in clearing the zone ASAP, but what I chose to do with my linkshell was this. Rather than spend any time preparing for CC we just farmed.

    Grabs the flies and get everyone subjobs.. - 5-10 mins

    Farm Sabotenders for accessories. 15~ mins
    Farm Hippo's for accessories. 15~ mins
    Farm Manticore's for accessories. 15~ mins

    Cut any of the mob farming short and go straight for the boss once time hits around the 10-15min mark. (Even 10 should be safe, if fights not over in 1-2 mins.... then it's definitely over..)

    2 Chainspell Stunners, Bard Soul voice buff - sleep adds. Kraken Drks and such are nice. Rangers are nice. Burn her down and pray nothing gets off that wipes you.

    This strat probably nets a wipe/clear about 50/50, but regardless we got a good 30-45 mins of farming and almost always walked away with 4-5+ accessories / -1's and half the time got members a clear and another hour to play with sheep... (yay?)

    You just never left the zone without something, which is why I liked the strat. Also only an hour in dynamis and still getting some farming in is nice after 5-6 years or so of Dynamis....

    We just clear some beastmen and end up fighting tons of snoll and weapons. City armour rains from normal beastmen and you get some currency so we figure it's quicker and safer just to kill a few and open up access to other mobs.
