/WAR is a viable substitute for /rng in pretty much any situation where COR is a damage dealer. /DNC is viable in many(but not all) situations as well.

It's too bad /war is 'generally' better in meripo situations for Cor. I really loved going /rng and seeing barrage hit for (on occasion) 1000~ damage.

Also, I guess I was a spoiled Cor b/c I refused to merit without a Brd. (in reference to the above SS saying Cor pulls if no Thf or Rng is in PT)

Really.. REALLY hate people who think COR can't DD. I came COR/WAR to a merit party recently, and the BRD I meritted with completely flipped out because I wasn't /WHM, and she kept dying pulling. I can understand if DDs are being complete mp sponges and you need that extra support, but when your BRD is taking more damage than the voker in a merit party, they're doing something completely wrong.

Well I went /RNG leveling up mostly because of Sharpshot and Gun Belt. I never tried COR/WAR yet since...

1. No shell ATM due to working on Maats cap, even then good shells on Carby are pretty damn rare, most either break within 2 months or don't do anything past Sky/Dynamis/Limbus/some ZNMs. So my COR has been MIA for awhile.

2. Most merit PTs I'm in I usually go /NIN since most of my PTs are good, but I think a Berserk Slugshot would easily kill me off. I might try /WAR since I might merit for a bit on COR after RNG while I wait for my inventory to free up a bit.

I don't turst my DDs enough to go /WAR or /RNG in merit PTs since most will just hack away at the mob and not even try to use provoke if it's on a weaker DD. While I get some good DDs I usually end up with one that makes me want to /facepalm. The Domaru SAM, the dual weilding WAR, etc...

EDIT: Not just COR either. I have to resort to /NIN on WAR to because "I take too much damage as /SAM" because I'm the only DD who doesn't sub NIN.

Good reason to never use your cor for a pick up pt. I only xp on mine when its a minimum 5/6 ls party or the party is made up of really good DD I know from other endgame shells.

And that is why i usually stick him on BLM... Some peeps still don't know where to stand on Tiamat and not get wrecked... Oh well shit happens. My gamin PC is busted so try not to have too much fun w/o me.

Yeah. Its turned into a really big deal, but I've ignored it. Its funny nonetheless.

I decided to level WHM for events though, because I really do need the SJ... went from 23 - 34 in 2 days of partying D:. Considering my COR has only been 75 for 2-3 weeks, I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right.

Was that BRD Mayoyama? If so, I know how you feel. I think he/she died 4 times within 45min, and we never broke chain 5. Had to talk my friend into leaving since she hates disbanding pts in a certain way.

Also, that sounds like it could have been Fki, too.
